The Dioscuri Bay hotel is sited in the small slightly down at heel seaside town of San Leone with fairly close proximity to Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples. The hotel is apparently under new management this year and I was there as part of a group tour. My room was fine - spacious, and clean with a balcony and sea view. The bathroom wasn't as pleasant but had all necessary facilities (though very limited toiletries) and there was always plenty of hot water for the shower. I did not find the rooms noisy nor the beds uncomfortable and the air conditioning was working and controlled from the room in terms of temperature although I was not able to turn it off altogether. The public rooms and the entrance are light , spacious and well organised. There is a good large outdoor pool area that overlooks the sea. The swimming pool did not officially open until June 1st and in spite of the weather having been hot throughout May and our arrival as a large group on the 29th May , the hotel were very reluctant to be flexible . Eventually we were able to use the pool at our own risk , but sun beds and towels were not made available. Not good customer service in my view and a great shame as the pool was lovely and a real asset to the hotel. We had a very limited menu choice (probably because we were there as a group) but nevertheless the food in the evenings was certainly plentiful and in my opinion well prepared and flavoursome if rather old fashioned. Breakfast was less appealing with rather chaotic arrangements for drinks, and poor coffee. Otherwise there was a reasonable selection of continental breakfast staples - fairly heavy on the cake and sweet tarts as one might expect in Italy but also pre- prepared bacon and scrambled eggs each morning as well as cheese and ham and very hard rolls . The waiting staff were very pleasant and did their best to be helpful although they were understaffed given the number of guests. I think that this is a suitable place for someone who is touring and staying briefly but would not be suitable for a full holiday stay .

We enjoyed our night here. At the north end of the beach area. Close to a small amusement park, the beach and several restaurants. But it was quiet in our room.

The address did not show up in our GPS. It is at the north end of the road at the intersection of the road that comes east from the Valley of the Temples.

We stayed there as part of Go Ahead Tours and I was very pleased with the room, the balcony and the view of the Sea. It was a short walk to the beach and the marina.

The only disappointing part was the litter along the beach but am not sure it was the responsibility of the hotel to clean that up or if it was town property.

Room Tip: Get a second floor room with a balcony facing the Sea!

We stopped for just one night here and found the room to be very clean and comfortable. The bed was hard but we still had a good night's sleep. I see there are complaints about no coffee/tea in the room but this seems usual for Sicily. We had an excellent meal in the evening but breakfast was only average with a large queue for the tea and coffee.

Spent one night as part of a tour. Rooms adequate however bathroom is very small (shower only). Rooms hot and unfortunately if you open the doors onto the balcony you have a mosquito problem. Free wifi in rooms. Breakfast buffet limited. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view
