Brief overnight stay on a business trip. Immaculately clean, spacious chalet with comfortable bed and good pillows which are rare, I slept like a log in the peaceful surroundings. Warm welcome from host although slightly disappointed that we couldn't order breakfast because we arrived at 6.25pm and the cutoff was at 6pm. We needed to be away promptly the next morning and it would have been great to have had breakfast before we left. Minor glitch and I'd be happy to stay there again. Good table/light/Wi-Fi for working

Thank you for your feedback, we definitely value it. We are glad you enjoyed the comforts our property has to offer (minus breakfast) and do hope to see you again. We will look into the cut off time for the ordering of breakfast as we base it on the supermarket closing time but may be able to move it to 6.30 pm at the latest. Kind Regards The Team from the Rocks Chalets.

I loved this place. It doesn't look like much when you drive up but each chalet is set apart with its own private outdoor space and deck. I could have stayed there for a month and been content. The chalet's are large and have plenty of places to relax. The bathrooms are also spacious. The chalets have everything you could want and are super clean. I love all the wood and my chalet had a private yard with a deck at the far end with 2 chairs and a table with a candle. Peaceful and quiet. The town of Takaka is wonderful and so are the beaches. Staff was super friendly.

If you are thinking of staying at "The Rocks" the honeymoon chalet is a must! It was peaceful and private- you were not near any of the other chalets. We loved the bath looking out from our patio and watching the sky turn different colours from the sunset. The owners were super helpful with getting us know the best places to walk around Abel Tasman. The info centre and supermarket is only 800m away and just down the road were shops and restaurants. We can't wait to get back!

Room Tip: Go that little bit extra and book the honeymoon chalet!

We stayed only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The room was wonderful- clean and spacious with everything we needed and the out door bath was magical in our own private garden. The big bed was very comfortable, It was cold night but the heat pump keep us warm.Great shower. The Rocks Chalets is close but not in Takaka so its very quiet.

Room Tip: Get the honey moon chalet- the bath is wonderful!

We visited The Rocks recently and could not say enough about it. It was the most refreshing time we have had in New Zealand, and we have visited there 5 times in the last 10 years. The staff was helpful, the accommodations were above what we expected, the breakfast was yummy and the surroundings were just amazing. The owners have a diamond in their hands.

Room Tip: Any Chalet is worth it. Each chalet is separate and self contained.
