Stayed at this Villa for a night and regret not making it for more days. The place is nestled in a tiny village of Naringre where you will not get mobile network (Airtel/Idea put to shame). The owners of Villa have gone a step beyond expectations to provide almost everything required for a comfortable rustic holiday.
The main Villa is beautiful with plenty of space for 4-6 people. There is a backyard garden which can be improved and utilised better. A tiny pool to take a dip after dipping in nearby river. Food was delicious and blends perfectly with the calming atmosphere of the village.
We only visited nearby Tambaldeg Sangam and did short boating on backwaters. The boat owner was amazing smiling person who took money only when we insisted. There is a change room beside river and one feels the need of a shower here but that's for our next trip I guess.
The beach on Sangam is best I have seen in India and much much better than any beach at Goa forget Alibaug. We did spend some time cleaning the plastic bottles from the beach but otherwise it was very clean.
How I regret not taking my camera and zoom lens as there were plenty of birds around the Villa and on the beach.
PS: Road from Naringre to Kolhapur is pity and will give a tough time to your car. If travelling in day time, Ill prefer sea side road from Ratnagiri.
After an 10 hour drive from Mumbai, you reach a place where there is a total disconnect from the daily life. Here the time not only slows down but amplifies in all terms, leaves you content in every moment you breath, gives so much time for yourself and individuals you wish to give time to. You can explore in all direction being in completely controlled environment.
Rustic piece of technology sest the mood really good internally and Food was served superbly!
Cheers! Thanks for memories!
“Great family Getaway”
AGE GROUP 55 PLUS
04 Oct 2015 " POL family
9+ (1 driver) of us spent a 5 nights stay at Village Nirvana to celebrate my Sister's birthday and family get together.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The quaint and comfortable Villa is situated in the midst of a forest just 45 km off the Bombay-Goa highway. Though the best way to get there is via Train (Konkan railway).
Two bedrooms and a large living area, kitchen, four bathroom and separate room for drivers constitute this villa. All 10 of us were very comfortably accommodated on antique beds laid out in a homely fashion. If you do want something more ‘luxurious’ go, walk through the trail from the bungalow to reach the pool area. This shallow pool will call out to you all and it was a great experience right in the middle of the forest. There’s a plug point near the poolside so carry your music and you will be set for hours at end.
As full POL family wanted max time together we travelled by train and empty cars came by road. Local travelling was also done in one large TATA SUMO.
