“Fantastic Location”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

I stayed here with my husband and 9 year old daughter for a week. It was the perfect base for a tour of the beautiful North Wales. The owners Sheena and Ian couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. The area has something for everyone with stunning walks all around and many attractions like Zip World,Beddgelert and Portmeirion all easily accessible. The property itself suited our needs perfectly and the wood burner was a lovely touch every evening after our travels. It is in a lovely quiet location, just out of town but near enough that you can pick up your provisions. We had great weather so were able to use the garden too. It was really good value and I would definitely stay there again.

“A perfect welsh retreat!”
Reviewed 15 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Tyn y Cefn was everything we were looking for in a holiday cottage it was both rural enough to feel away from the hustle and bustle whilst having amenities only a stones throw away. It was brilliant that we could take our St Bernard. Sheena and Ian were fantastic they were there if we needed them which suited us. The cottage itself is quaint and charming we would definitely stay again. Thanks again.

“Great place to stay and explore”
Reviewed 14 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We have just returned from staying a week in the cottage and i can honestly say i didn't want to leave. The cottage is perfect for a base to explore North Wales. Its very clean and has everything you need including a lovely wood burner for the chilly nights..The owners Sheena and Ian and family are great and very good hosts ( especially on tic removal from one of our dogs !!! ) There are many walks straight from the cottage so you don't need to take the car and they have stunning views. We were lucky with the weather so it made it even better but we will be returning again hopefully next year as there are still lots more to see and do and i will recommend this place to family and friends.
Thank You Sheena and Ian for a lovely holiday

“It is magical place”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed for a week during May the cottage was so warm and cosy we just loved coming back to it after our long walks.
The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could ever need on your holiday it was so cosy and the wood burning fire was a plus! The location is ideal for walking.
It was clean, comfortably furnished and with amenities that made it feel just like home, it has wonderfully comfortable beds.
Everything has been carefully thought out so that immediately on arrival, we felt at home. I would recommend this property cannot fault the cottage; it is spotless and has everything you could wish for, a real home to let.

“Wonderfully cosy holiday cottage.”
Reviewed 6 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Stayed at Tyn y Cefn for October half term along with our 11 and 8 year old lads and our two little Jack Russell dogs. A clean, comfy, cosy holiday cottage, this was all we could have wished for. Ideally placed for some great walks plus, of course, the Ffestiniog railway, there was plenty for the family to do. The weather was typically North Wales, but that shouldn't stop you doing all you want to. Wonderful stuff, thank you Sheena for all your help. Highly recommended.
