Excellent house - generous space for family group of 4 adults. Large sun terrace on roof is a winner, especially having its own small kichen and fridge up there. Location is very good - close to ferry for Valetta, and easy walk into Vittoriosa with its historic fortications and other historical attractions. Marina also close by for attractive waterside walk. Local restaurant recommendatons also very good

“Best place to stay in Malta”

Templar House is situated in what I believe to be the most interesting and beautiful part of the Island. If you want an authentic Maltese experience away from the tourist areas, this house is a must. The property is so perfectly situated across the water from the amazing capital of Valletta. The water ferry which takes you to Valletta is situated very close. We never tired of taking the boat to Valletta across the Grand Harbour.

Although the house itself is very historical, it has been beautifully restored with modern kitchens and bathroom. We spent many hours on the roof terrace just watching the world go by with its fantastic views across the water to Senglea and Valletta. The small kitchen on the top floor is a godsend as there a many stairs from the ground floor up to the roof. We found many local good eating places within walking distance and it was great to sit outdoors by the water to eat.

Communication with the British Owner was always timely and efficient.

I would thoroughly recommend Templar House as the perfect place to stay in Malta if you want to experience true Malta.

“The Malta all visitors should experience”

Templar House was fantastic for our Family with two young girls. We loved the old limestone walls and marble stairs and the modern feel of the well appointed rooms and fantastic modern kitchen. The location is quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of Valletta which is only a 10 minute ferry ride away. The local village is fantastic with the narrow ancient cobbled alley ways, lovely waterfront and modern marina, local cafes and friendly locals. We spent a lot of time catching the local water taxis to explore the 3 cities and across the bay into Valletta. It was really nice to stay in a community of locals and get the chance to participate in the local village festivals.

By chance Paul was in Malta the week before we stayed at Templar House and it was great to have a guided tour of the house before we moved in. His easy going nature made the whole process of booking and organizing the stay a breeze. We would go back in a flash.

As a note. If you have an aversion to fireworks I would reconsider you visit to Malta as there was not one single night in our month long stay that the noise of Fireworks was not heard throughout the early evening through til midnight and sometimes starting from 9 am in the morning. If you like fireworks the rooftop Balcony was a great place to view them from while having a refreshing cold drink in the evenings.

“Simply marvellous - don't stay anywhere else”

An absolutely stunning house and location. The owners could not have been more accommodating - everything was organised for us to perfection. Sipping drinks in the evening from the huge roof terrace overlooking the marina with Saint Angello's fort and Valetta in the distance was magical - there could not be many better spots to spend sunset. Paul had not only organised taxis from and to the airport but also gave us first rate restaurant recommendations. It was difficult to tear ourselves away from the views afforded by the roof terrace but thank goodness we did - so much to see right on the doorstep of the house in this most atmospheric of parts of the island. A world of history is on your doorstep when you stay in the three cities and spending a week in a fifteenth century house up a picturesque alleyway is a perfect way to enjoy it. Paul had organised a brochure with suggested itineraries/ activities and we followed a number of them and enjoyed every moment- what a wonderful stay!
