Trip advisor lists this as a restaurant but it is also a hotel. I was exploring St Moritz in Switzerland and finding accomodation difficult and expensive to come by so I got online and booked Hotel Conradi in Chiavenna. It took one hour to drive from St Moritz to Chiavenna including the 21 switchbacks at Maloja pass. And The Conradi Hotel was well located just off a roundabout and had free parking and my night free internet AND it was only one third the price I was getting quoted in Switzerland. The service was excellent, there is small elevator, the bathrooms were clean and functional, there was a balcony off the room, and breakfast was included. The servers were so nice at breakfast spoke English to us. Breakfast had bread and cheese with sliced ham, condiments of butter, honey, jam. And included excellent orange juice and coffee, a real good cappucino dopio. The hotel is well located next to the old town entrance, and next to a bridge and river. We walked the pleasant old town of Chiavenna... only wished I had more time to stay. If you're driving, there are several petrol stations near the hotel and a "ipermarket" . Even if you're not driving there are coffee shops , and the market is within walking distance. We took a little side trip up the mountains to Madesima a small ski area and quite isolated, I would really recommend for the intrepid explorer.
