Very last minute decided to go a Sunday drive with my daughter, taking the two dogs, for some time near the water.
Booked in to the Falls of Lora hotel, room 25, lovely, fresh and modrn room, beautiful view of the Firth of Lorn from the room, power shower and comfortable beds. Good quality bedding and nice Harris Tweed touches with the soft furnishings.
The lounge had a cosy, open fire burning away, a very welcome touch on a damp February Sunday, after a long dog walk along Tralee Beach. Bar and lounge full of lovely, friendly local people. Decided to stay for dinner instead of going down to the nearby dog friendly Oyster Inn.
3 courses with an amazing set of choices for £15! and a bottle of very nice red wine for £10! The meal was lovely, and the service friendly and professional.
The dogs were made more than welcome, inspite of breaking a wine glass in the bar, and that's a real bonus for me. Will come back and stay in the better weather, and enjoy the local warmth again.More
