Visiting St Kitts was worth the covid test hassle for our family (8 total). But once we were at the resort no issues with testing. Wearing a mask in the lobby areas was the only requirement. The resort is true to recent reviews. Well maintained, relaxing, great staff, villas had everything we needed. Restaurants on premises were excellent for quality and service. We hope to return another time. St Kitts is a truly relaxed vibe.

The Marriott is great and all that, but if you’re going to stay here, you will need a way to get around the island.

That’s where Rafael comes in. Raphael Libard drives for Empress Taxi (869-663-0324). He is friendly, professional, and knows the island of St Kitts like the back of his hand. We found him by accident when we got matched up with him when we need a cab to go into Basseterre;.

He eventually took us on a tour of the entire island, taking us to see all of the wonderful sights and sharing his immense knowledge of the history of these islands. He is kind and thoughtful and just a really wonderful guy to be around.

So yeah, stay at the Marriott or whatever, but call Rafael to get you from the Marriott to anywhere else on the island.

A great resort right on a beautiful beach. Friendly staff and very clean rooms. The property is spotless and they are constantly working to improve it. Multiple activities and lawn games for the family spread out on the property. Walking distance to several great restaurants. Felt very safe as there is always staff walking around.

What an amazing group of employees to provide an incredible trip. These guys were here to provide service and fun. They had pool volleyball, water aerobics, shuffle board, poolside bingo and more. They were very attentive to all your needs.

I have stayed at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort many times since 2007. It is a beautiful island beach resort. I love the place and begin to feel at home and peaceful from my first glance at the elegant structure. We are first welcomed by the attendants who open the car/taxi doors and assist with any questions and our luggage. Up a few wide steps and into the spacious, airy lobby. Check-in is always smooth. I have stayed in hotel rooms in the main building and 2-bedroom units in the outbuildings. At first sight, the decor and Atlantic sea breezes relax me and I am taken by feelings of being in a special place. The local staff are very well trained, can answer any question, and will go out of their way to serve. The spacious rooms are very clean, comfortable and offer many amenities. The beach often is quiet and lovely although some beach repairs are underway at the moment so I choose my times to go. The main pool area is complete with swim-up bar, plenty of chairs and complimentary beach towels. The American-style hamburgers at Arewee are the best on the island and the beef ribs are fantastic. This hotel/home has owned a piece of my heart for 15 years.
During my current trip, I discovered a new bakery/eatery just across the street from The Marriott in The Royal St. Kitts Hotel strip mall. DO NOT purchase any baked goods beyond a plain croissant at the current rendition of the Calypso. Imma not kidding - The Sweet and Savory Bistro has amazingly tasty desserts that are not to be missed! The tres leches cake is a slice of light sponge cake Heaven with a subtle flavoring (lemon?) and topped with a few sliced strawberries and blueberries. Pick up breakfast of a cinnamon bun to heat in your room's microwave served with a coffee Their offerings are amazing! Do you think you know what a brownie should taste like? You don’t, until you taste one from the Sweet and Savory. Chocolate Heaven. The chocolate cup cake is delicious, too. I look forward to sampling other baked goods and trying their entrees.
