Great location and views from the sea in the front rooms. Nice town with easy access to other parts of the Tenerife and main attractions. Worth to choose half board or just breakfast as there are supermarkets (Lidl and Superdino) and fruit markets close by so you can stock up on everything and head out to tour the island. Hotel has an outside pool, gym and rooftop sun bathing area. The best time to visit is when there is Fiesta Chica or Easter as you can party like the locals but you won't get much sleep as music, fireworks and dancing will go on for three days on the nearby square (outside the hotel) and around the town. My trip was actually Aug/Sept 2016.

Room Tip: Take a sea view rooms, up to 5th floor to still see the festivities

We stayed here from 27th June to 11th July from start to finish the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned often, room are clean and spacious, we stayed in 508 and 102 both rooms lovely, the pool area on the 4th floor was brilliant for just chilling and the life guard Ray was amazing and became a very good friend, we found the drinks were cheaper by the pool than at the outside bars, the breakfast had a lot of choice, and the morning we left it was earlier than they breakfast part opened so they offered us tea and toast, you can not find anywhere like this hotel it’s one in a million, I loved it and will definitely be back x

This is a perfectly adequate aparthotel in a pleasant part of Tenerife, especially good for those not seeking wild nightlife.
However, you may benefit from knowing a few things in advance.
First, it is extremely noisy, as all the sea view rooms face, or sit right on top of, the main coast road and you will hear every coach, lorry, moped and car passing by and be delighted by the refuse collections, the last one being about 11.30 at night. The photos of this road looking deserted are misleading. As the air-con doesnt work very well, you either shut the doors to stop the noise and put up with the heat, or you sit on the balcony watching the world pass by and put up with the noise. Most rooms are sea view. There are quiet rooms at the rear of the hotel but they look dark and uninviting.
We got used to the noise in the end but if you are looking for quiet, you must ask for a rear room or one as far from this road as possible.
Second, this is not a beach hotel. There is a very rocky (but pretty) bay nearby going north, about 3-400 yards, up the hill and then down a much steeper one. It has 4 parasols which are soon occupied. You will need seaboots on the beach and in the sea, or feet made of leather. The small "kiosk" restaurant adjacent is superb. To the south, about 500 yards, is a sandy beach but with no parasols at all, so we stayed away as it was too far and too exposed.
The kitchen is barely adequate, and I advise you take one non-stick frying pan to cook in, and practise juggling, oh, and a tea mug if you like a big cuppa (have fun with the kettle which plugs into the weall nearby - just).
There is no bar downstairs. The bar servery is empty. This just leaves a pool table in reception.
On the plus side, the view is very nice (La Gomera opposite) , the breakfast is very extensive, the rooms large, the TV works, (and has Kiss FM radio) and the pool area and snack bar on the 4th floor is extremely well done with lots of shade, cocktails, tapas, and a warm pool. We only saw this area really busy once. (The sight of the same Brit woman putting towels over the same 5 beds every morning and then disappearing for hours was so infuriating I contemplated chucking the towels over the ledge, especially as its quite clear from all the signage that they want you to stop doing this but some people dont seem to think any rule applies to them. In our 2 weeks this was the only person doing that).
The supermarket next door is excellent. Its open until 10pm and has everything you could need. The booze and wine selection is fabulous, as is the range of cured meats for lunch.
The Italian restaurant just down the road is also excellent and cooked gluten free pasta for us. A pasta dish is about 9Es.
The coast walk to the Hotel Barcelo Santiago (past the aforementioned rocky beach) will take you to some restaurants with balconies and spectacular sea views. Try them. El Timon does a 3 course fixed price dinner menu for E12.95 and the food there was the best we had. On the main street you will be approached by people hustling you to go inside their restaurant or buy boat trips. Not pleasant.
The Barcelo is worth a visit. Walk through to the swimming pools and cocktail bar area and watch the sun set, or gaze at the Gigantes cliffs opposite. Stunning.

- spacious flats with a bath tub
- nice Sangria (one jug costs ten euros)
- generally nice and helpful reception staff
- decent food quality and diversity of food for the breakfast buffet
- good location if you want a location that is touristy but not very, and if you want to be in the middle of the popular area of Los Cristianos/Las Americas and Puerto de la Cruz/La Orotava

- I could really do with a room instead of a flat (as personally I don't need a kitchen while on holiday) and with no gym, but give your customers shower gels and shampoos for their stay... I have never stayed at a hotel which doesn't offer this bare minimum
- one of the restaurant female staff members is very rude and grumpy
- noisy - I was woken up quite a few times at night and in the morning as the apartment we were given was not very well isolated and next to both corridors and the swimming pool area
- pool table is a nice addition but would have been great if it was free
- bad location if you don't like burning black sand on the beaches and not having much to do nearby

Room Tip: Don't go for a room next to the swimming pool...

Ok and clean. Breakfast nice and the small pool area quite cozy. Rooms and bathrooms a little outdated. There is no garden area in the hotel and it is very close to the road. Plenty of restaurants at walking distance and nice views.
