While the ambiance and location of Status Club and Resorts, Kanpur, were initially promising, our experience was marred by significant shortcomings in service and value.
The room service was incredibly slow and unreliable. The staff's attempts to overcharge us for an extra room were unprofessional and frustrating. Basic amenities like hot water and handwash were missing, and when requested, we were given inadequate solutions.
The food, while overpriced, did not meet our expectations in terms of taste. The decoration provided for our engagement ceremony was underwhelming, and the DJ was forgotten altogether, forcing us to remind the staff of their oversight.
Overall, our stay at Status Club and Resorts was not so good as expected. Despite the initial appeal of the property, the poor service, lack of attention to detail, and overpriced offerings make it difficult to recommend.
Pros: Decent rooms located in a quiet area. Friendly staff. They have some new rooms which are about to get launched. Restaurant is good.
Cons: Difficult to find auto/cabs in the area as it is in the Cantt. Older rooms require some renovation.
