On arrival at this gorgeous 3 double bedroom, 2 bathroom villa, we were greeted by the owners, Umberto and his wife. They had prepared us the most exquisite selection of local produce, plus una torta deliciosa (gorgeous cake). They were very helpful and kind both on arrival and when we gave back the keys on departure.
This villa was beautiful. We spent a very relaxing 9 days here. All mod cons, a fabulous little island in the middle of the kitchen, open plan and very well equipped. I cooked a few times and it was like being at home. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and all areas of the villa very clean and the outside shower was brilliant after relaxing on the idyllic beach that is the whole stretch called 'Lido Fiori'. The extensive outdoor space for eating/relaxing was very comfortable. It took minutes to walk through the gate (all very private and secure) up a short stretch of road and along a path to the sea.
You do need a car so that you can do a local shop, go exploring if you choose to, visit Selinunte, go further to Valley of the Temples, or drive to Porto Palo, where you could spend the day on the beach just by the great restaurant Da Vittorio, where coming off the beach to have a leisurely lunch during the heat of the day, is an absolute joy!
We've travelled to this area a number of times and Villa Agapanto is by far the best place we have stayed in. The photographs do not do it justice.
