We stayed in one of the self cater apartments that could not be faulted..lovely and with a perfectly clean pool too! The hosts team equally perfect, they couldn't do enough for us.
We found the people of Corfu were very welcoming everywhere.
Old town Corfu is great to visit.
You have to like planes as the apartments are very close to the flight path to Corfu Airport.
The supermarket at the "gates" of the apartments is horrendously expensive, shop at Lidl near the airport before you drive to the apartment.
The beach near the apartments leaves much to be desired.
Whilst the maintenance of the apartments and their grounds is excellent it is exceptional compared to our overall impression of the rest of the island.....the island is just "dilapidated abandonment"; dumped rubbish and graffiti everywhere whilst scrap bikes, cars, trucks even JCBs litter the suburbs of Corfu town and, worse still, blight what should be beautiful areas of the countryside too...What a shame.More
