Firstly this Hotel appears to offer good value for money, we stayed in a Fourth Floor Superior Room with great views over the ocean, nice balcony and reasonably well equipped facilities within the room.
Whilst being conveniently located to the on your doorstep bars and restaurants this unfortunately comes at a price !
The noise in the evenings is dreadful, be warned !
Local Karaoke and Mobile Take-Away outlet stand adjacent to the Front of the Hotel attract noise as late as 4am in a regular basis.
Although not the Hotels fault, it has to be factored in when assessing the rating given for our stay.
This evening we also had youngsters swimming in the sea at 2.30am screaming and shouting on the small Beach to the rear of the Hotel which is accessible due to all beaches in Barbados being public.
Do not be persuaded by other reviews that by opening the patio doors to drown out the noise with the crashing waves works, tried it, it doesn’t.
We have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively for 40 years, this Hotel is by far the noisiest accommodation we have had the misfortune to encounter.
After the first night in which we were exhausted after travelling from the U.K., and which we saw every hour until daybreak as a result of the noise, we requested to the Manager a change of room (We stayed in room 409) in a effort to find a quieter spot within the Hotel, only to be advised that the Hotel was full, so no chance of a move.
On reflection and studying the layout of the Hotel, I am not sure that a noise free room actually exists within the property.
The room was clean and tidy as was the grounds, a bit tired in places to match the guests.
Breakfast was reasonable with friendly service, the restaurant and bar lacked any atmosphere, the poolside furniture is in need of replacement, no problem obtaining a sun bed even though they are full !
If the noise was not a consideration this Hotel would receive a solid 3.5 out of 5 based on its value for money, however with the noise I am afraid that I can only offer 1 out of 5.

My friends and I had a great time at the rostrevor in st Lawrence gap. There were plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops in walking distance. You could swim with sea turtles at a beach down the street, it's not an attraction you pay for, just a beach with sea turtles. The hotels beach is great too, a little small, but more guests were in chairs on the deck then on the beach. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. I would love to come back some day.

Joan and Ryesha you did an excellent job making us feel at home.

Thanks for the island tips that you gave us Joan. It helped to make the trip a very memorable one.

Loved the balcony off the room with the sea view.

Sharky's next door we miss your food!

We booked this for only one night as we were going to Sandals the next day. We were more than pleasantly surprised by our room. It had a full kitchen, decent bath, & nice bedroom area. Best part was the patio outside the room. We were right on the ocean. We had great views & a wonderful breeze.
Just a couple doors down from our room was a little bar/ cafe. We had a nice lunch & a few drinks to unwind. Again this is right on the ocean, so views were spectacular. There are quite a few restaurants on the same street so finding a place to eat was not a problem.
Staff here was more than helpful, & friendly. We were actually sorry we weren't staying a few more days here.

Loved this hotel in St Lawrence gap barbados. The area has other hotels, restaurants and a very active nightlife. Staff very lovely, rooms are self catering. Had a room with a balcony and view of the ocean best for sunrise! Rooms fully air conditioned and cleaned daily, had fridge/ freezer, coffee maker, kettle, stove, microwave yep.. self catering. Perfect for families too.
