My partner loves the coffee here & I usually have a savoury scone. We often call in & enjoy watching people use the climbing wall visible through windows inside cafe, if we don't want to sit on the spacious verandah.

A lovely spot in the Waikato, we love looking for new places to try. Beautiful views of the ranges in the distance, lovely sunny day.

Two of us ordered the corn fritter stack, it couldn't really be called a stack, quite doughy and dense, so may need to rejig the recipe. So really did need the pickle and sour cream. The salad was very nice though with it. Husband ordered the brisket burger and was very nice, father in-law had the eggs bene, no complaints there.

Our Server asked us twice in a 3 minute time frame if we were waiting on anything else and was dying to take away table number, twice we had to say "yes...food", so perhaps more training given, or try and remember your customers... very odd.

Overall it was adequate, except for the fritters.

This is an unexpected treasure in a tiny rural village. The cafe is in an historic dairy factory, but has a very modern vibe. There is a wide shaded deck with stunning views of the nearby ranges, and clever decor indoors. The food is produced in-house, even the delicious little macaroons. Try the Pina colada version! The datiest date scone I’ve ever had was also excellent. It’s a pretty 45 min drive from Hamilton so a great place for a midweek lunch. Free parking.
