From minute one up to end a fabulous stay and a grrest resort
Staff , location and overall cleanliness was first rate
We paid for the half board aa it was great value and quality of food did not disappoint
Beach easy access , bars and restaurants plentiful and close to Lindos and some great beach activities
Pefkos is a great base and this hotel is first rate

Did quite abit of research into where to go & where to stay for our holiday-likely our last as a family as with two older teenagers they won’t want to holiday with their boring parents anymore!
Decided on the Matina & happy to say we made a really good choice.
Accommodation - as others have said, it’s basic (but what more do you need? Air con free of charge as part of jet2 package & good Wi-Fi)
Big rooms, nice & clean . Maid service excellent.
One of our rooms was 520 - can’t recommend it enough, didn’t have a balcony-it’s a terrace which was massive & a sea view as well.
Pool areas-really enjoyed sitting by the pool, plenty of sun loungers & a nice peaceful vibe.
Food - stayed half board (never done this before but it seemed good value & avoided the arguments on where to eat) breakfast was pretty good but the biggest plus is you get to eat in the Meltemi restaurant on a night - fantastic food & service.
Had abit of lunch a couple of days in the pool bar & this was good also & reasonably priced.
Staff - everyone really friendly & nothing was too much trouble 10 out of 10.
Location - 2 min walk to the beach, 6 min walk upto the town if you wanted to (plenty of bar’s & restaurants within a couple of mins walk if you didn’t want to walk into town). Fantastic - save paying beach sun lounger prices, we walked from the pool with just a towel & went swimming in the sea, then came back to the pool.
Overall-we had a great holiday & glad we chose the Matina. Do your research before hand to make sure it’s what your are looking for & if it is, you won’t be disappointed.

Our family of four stayed at Matina this July. We were happy to have a really nice room with garden/sea view. The room was clean and spacious and kitchenette had everything we needed for partial selfcatering (microwave and toaster etc.). The two pools were really good for small kids and adults and there's also separate pool for toddlers. One of the best things was the location next to the beach and several nice restaurants. Also the hotel's own Meltemi restaurant and Matina snack bar had really good food and excellent service. Meltemi also catered really well our kids with special diets, which we are really greatful for. Airport service and on-site ABC supermarket were reasonably priced. At Matina you have everything you need for a good holiday close by.

Excellent hotel for the price. All staff were very attentive. Especially the pool bar guys who went out of their way to help. Rooms are basic but all you need. We only did B&B which in hindsight was the right thing to do as Pefkos has many good places to eat in walking distance. Great location near to beach. A couple of tips - if you are going there, well worth putting a room preference in by email direct to the hotel,first floor being ideal. Their website also allows you to check in in advance which saves a bit of hassle upon arrival. Also worth ordering from their supermarket online in advance. Cold drinks were waiting for us in our fridge.

Amazing hotel, amazing location, amazing staff... what a holiday!
I was sceptical reading a couple of reviews on here but really couldn't fault the place. Travelling with young family, you just hope you pick the right place.
Room was VERY spacious, which is a huge bonus with 2 kids, more of a terrace than a balcony but kids couldn't get out either end which was brilliant for us. Kitchen facilities lovely, very clean. A problem with ants outside our room but highly doubt that is a hotel issue, seems they are everywhere in Pefkos! No bites for us despite numerous reviews saying so...
Hotel Facilities are brilliant! Pools are clean, tidy and the grounds are well maintained. The Children's area looked dated on pictures but was brilliant, and again enclosed so little ones couldn't run off!
The staff are somethings else, so welcoming and friendly! It really is a great place to visit.
The location..... I don't think we've stayed in a more perfectly located hotel. Beach short walk, bars / restaurants again short walk & most had play areas for the children.
I would highly recommend the Matina & Pefkos as a whole - we will be back!!
