The Albergo Meuble Stelvio goes by several names apparently and the cover photograph is of the view from the hotel and not a picture of the hotel itself. Be that as it may it is situated in a great location and a short 10 minutes bag drag from the train station. The rooms are relatively spacious with ultra modern bathroom fixtures and the staff is friendly and welcoming, Breakfast is a great value at six Euros.

Room tip: Request a room on the top floor (4th floor) with a mountain or old town view or both.

We arrived in the late afternoon tired and wet from lugging our luggage from the train station to the accommodation in the rain. The room we were given was a bit too small for my wife’s liking but the host of the property, Matteo, was very kind to allow us to change rooms after one night. He even arranged for our belongings to be transferred to the new room while we were out taking in the sights. Rooms were clean and breakfast was a good spread. Matteo even drove us to the train station as it was raining too the day we checked out.
Great service — kind and hospitable.

This hotel is ideally located to explore the beautiful small city at the terminus of the Bernina Express. There are numerous attractions cafes etc in walking distance or just relax on terrace with a cold Campari Soda and listen to the river Adda rushing by. Lucia and her team are very friendly and helpful.

Right at the cross roads of Tirano and a close walk to everything.

Rooms are clean and functional with a nice family touch.

Wifi ok.

Breakfast good including cooked eggs.

Pleasant local owners.

Be prepared for some traffic noise, maybe request a room at the back.

Graziella, Matteo and their loyal staff member Franca have made our visit memorable, ensuring that our needs were met and nothing was too much trouble. Our visit was fun and we were well catered from the day we arrived until we left, six days later. The location is convenient and I’d recommend staying here because it’s close to the restaurants, cafes and local transport. We are certain to return.

Room tip: Riverside facing rooms on higher floors. Nice to hear water. Faces two roads - if noise is an issue, it's easy to close the shutters.
