This is a lovely house as the views are amazing and you get sun on the two terraces at the front in the morning and again in the patio at the rear in the afternoon - even in Jan/Feb! We stayed for 3 weeks and found the house well equipped and easy to make cosy in those cool evenings as there is a log-effect gas fire and the sofas are warm and comfortable. However the one thing we were trying to avoid was driving all the time and because the location map on this site is wrong and places the property on the edge of Altea town - even when we googled the address later it placed it somewhere next to the original old village halfway up the mountain. No - this house is way up high in the hills and therefore you absolutely have to have a car (which fortunately we did) and nowhere near any bars, so you have to take turns in not drinking and you have to plan your food menu ...... no nipping out for bread etc. So if you know all of this, then there is no doubt the house is perfect. The only other niggle was that the internet was 3G so only one person at a time could use the internet which was slow and forget downloading anything like a film etc.
