Going into the Brughhiera, we started with going downstairs to the cellar for some wine, cheese and Italian sausages such as Salami; This was tasty and a great way to start the meal. Unfortunately the main meal, although in a ver attractive place and with impeccble service, was not up to the same standards. I had Gnocchi and veal cheek - nothing special. One of my companions had a good Tuna tartar - and a steak,. Deserts were
-tasty - but I expected more. Ultimately a good experience - I just wish the food was more convincing.

The cellar to take the appetizers and apéritif are spectacular.... We had two different wines and there are lots of snacks available, all fresh ut with a wonderful antique Berkel meat-cutter.... Impressive !
For the meal I had a Costoletta Milanese which was not only giant-sized , but also perfectly baked and crusted....
My colleagues tool the Tuna Carpaccio and both immediately noticed there was something wrong with the taste .... They called the waiter who sugggested them to make another choice.... which they did ....
Big was our surprise that the 'bad' tuna carpaccio's were both charged on the bill .... (as well as their replacement dishes..... ) This is unworthy of a restaurant of this class....!
Shame ! We'll never go their anymore...

Very tasty place. I've had seabass and octopus - both delicious. Im not a wine expert but their selection looks impresive.

I was introduced to this fine restaurant when visiting our affiliate in Palazzolo. Since retirement part of my annual routine is to attend the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix and to dine at this fabulous restaurant. The most recent visit was over the September 3 weekend.
How to get there: entering the address Via XXIV Maggio, 23, 20030 Senago into you car's navigation system will lead you to the SP119 just above the "Rathaus Comune di Senago" denomination on the included map-pic. From there follow the SP119 to the left and turn left on the second exit to the Via Mascagni (after the bridge). Follow the Via Mascagni to the left and turn right at the bottom of the hill. Then you will get to the traffic-circle and notice the restaurant just accross the circle.
The award-level cuisine: The trademark-treat of La Brughiera is the 1st course (antipasti) is offered in the cellar of the restaurant. I have never seen and tasted a better and fresher selection of cold-cuts, cheeses, pickled verduras etc. (the enclosed pictures speak for themselves).
Prima/secondo piatti: taste, quality of ingrediences and presentation is first class.
Desserts: as above
Wine: excellent selection with reasonable prices.
Ambiance: rustic with friendly staff and owner.
Remember: mostly Italians eat here so it must be good.
