I made the reservation at the hotel "Vila Omak" in Gili Trawangan. I was scheduled to stay there from June 2 to June 4, 2019. There was an unforeseen event where a large swell came on the day my trip was scheduled, and the government sent a letter to the boat operators not authorizing the tourists to go there islands due to the great waves. So I could not go and had to stay in Bali for these two days where I paid for another hotel.
The hotel in Vila Ombak paid me 50% of the amount I paid, which I find extremely unfair since it was not for reasons of force majeure and not of my own free will.
I am disappointed with this hotel, I understand charging a fine, but it can not be 50%.
I will not be staying at this location on a next trip ...

Excellent big property, perfect to spend a relaxed holiday. Lots of trees and green lawns make it scenic. It's located on the beach and at the end of the most happening street in Gili Trawangan.

Has a beautiful pier with heart shape on it with the scenic mountains from Lombok in the backdrop.

3 Swimming pools are fantastic with one of them having a mini pool for kids. Bar is available and you can enjoy drinks in the pool.

Rooms are big with even bigger bathrooms, bathtub was not available in the room we stayed in. Separate area outside rooms for bike parking. Rooms do not share walls, so lot quieter than expected.

Food was very good, wide variety of options in breakfast buffet. In the evening you could enjoy dinner buffet on beach with live music.

Indian food options are not available, however 500 meters away there is an Indian restaurant.

This place is walkable from the harbor, around 700 meters. However if you are traveling with excessive luggage or kids and are not in mood of walking dragging your luggage, then hire a Tonga, they cost a bit though. Or just send your luggage in the Tonga.
