I have nothing negative to say about the food, the wine or the service. You get a 6 course menu for €28 a head including wine - large mixed appetisers to die for, 2 pasta, 2 meats, fantastic local cheese with honey and 3 different cakes. Live guitar music, very characteristic. Wonderful meal.
But the hike to get there is a challenge unless you are fairly fit. We got lost in the village and there are no signs at all for this place so you will need to ask locals. The hike is literally in the mountains and there are stinging nettles everywhere and the occasional donkey do. On the way back we hiked back down in complete darkness, we used our phones for light. If they could put signs in the village and on the hike it would really help their customers, even better if they add solar lights on the hike. Recommended but not for the faint hearted, just be ready.

Wow. What an experience. This place is very authentic, and the food is delicious! We were greeted by a lovely gentleman, who showed us to our seats (u need to book!) We were brought so much delicious food (set menu) we could believe how much food in fact..I think there are 6 courses as as much wine as you like. It was around €28 per adult if I remember correctly and €14 for the children. We didn't eat anywhere else during our stay at Lake Como for this price, quality and quantity. The service was brilliant. So friendly and welcoming. It is a real home from home. In order to get there u need a good set of shoes!! When parking at the bottom of the hill on the car park you then walk up a long set of steps..u think it's never going to end but eventually you arrive haha!! Can I recommend if u can getting a taxi booked for pic up or definitely take a torch as trying to get back down with two kids in the pitch black was no fun :( thankfully we had a head torch but the children didn't thank us!! I recommend this place highly. We ate in some lovely places during our stay in Vareena (half an hour drive away) but this place came up top for us

We have been traveling through Italy for two weeks but today we had a gastronomic and visual experience we won't forget in a long time. The trek up the hill was long forgotten when we saw the panoramic views of the mountains and picturesque lake Como with Mandello da Lario in the foreground. I think we counted seven courses from an array cheeses, cold meats and antipasta that was superb, then two types of pasta - full of natural flavours, then two home cooked tasty meat dishes one with a tasty polenta the other with veggies, then some more cheese followed by desert. Red and white wine with the meal and some grappa at the end. As l said a gastronomic delight!! If you want to experience the real Italy this is it!!

The property offers the most beautiful views on the mountains and the lake and is perfectly suitable for those who enjoy a bit of hiking, nature and relaxation. The agriturismo is also well known (and poular) for their excellent home cooked food and is constantly booked out! So if you are intending to enjoy a lunch or dinner-please book in advance. The dinner consists of wine (red and white all you can drink) and several courses of various typical italian local dishes. We were already stuffed after the 2nd course! All in all we have only very lovely memories and already debate when we could visit soon again. We also stayed there over night as we booked on of their rooms in advance.

We read the reviews and I agree that this is not 5star it's rustic food but it's a lovely experience as long as you are not fussy and don't mind walking in the dark down a steep hill in the dark. Good shoes and a torch are a necessity. Enjoy!
