They have a system where you can order from your phone using the QR code. As neither my husband or myself have the slightest inclining to do this, the waitress was more than happy to take our order, which was only a coffee and tea. She explained that this method of ordering was due to the serious lack of staff since the pandemic. Fair enough but not everyone has up to date phones or the know how! We couldn't be bothered ourselves as we are on holiday, relaxing and we put our phones away, observing what is around us, talking, conversing with the waitress which lead on to us having a cake, which she went and found out the true translation of it for us. Socialising!!!

Nice terrace , nice drinks and food. We had the mussels and the mezze platter. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Great view of the "klimduin"

After a nice sunny Sunday we went for a dinner af this place, unfortunately that spoiled our nice day. We sit down by the tables outside and you have to order via QR code, the drinks came fast but the food came one hour later, we ordered before other tables but came anyway after and then when we asked the waitress she didn’t apologize but they did like it was our fault, we were so hungry didn’t enjoy it 😔

First visit was for lunch on Tuesday - great friendly service, delcious food, great choice of drinks. Came back the following morning to a different waitress and was met with complete hostility. Sadly we had to leave due to the unfriendliness of one member of staff (didnt want our food spat in!), which was met by laughter from the waitress. Its a pity because the staff of Tuesday were great.

This is the most popular cafe/restaurant in Schoorl. It has a large terrace area facing the Klim Duin, the sandy hill into the dune forest that people from allover Netherlands ) a mainly flat country) comes to visit.

I've visited this restaurant frequently and it's a great choice from lunch to dinner, also just for drinks and coffee. The menu has all the regular dutch dishes such as Sate skewers and Asian salads, burgers etc but Zilte Zoen also offers more creative and modern choices such as vegan burgers, sandwiches and pulled jackfruit and they do it well. You can also do a fancier dinner here with a large group. Highly recommended
