This was our second visit to the Salome. We had been there the same time last year. It's such a unique hotel and we just love it and will be returning, hopefully, in 2015. Kim and her staff, Debbie Alejandro and Vanessa are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. We like that they remember what your preferences were on the previous visit and there they are waiting for you again this time - well done. We missed Monntoya in the bar. He has been moved and is now, sometimes, serving breakfast in the special Salome mirador. Francisco who has taken over Montoya's roll in the Beach bar is excellent and knows what you want before you do yourself!!! Mario was also excellent. We had trouble the first few days with the temperature of the red wine - they seem to keep it refrigerated at 17'C !!! This is too cold for our palate so we asked for a warmer bottle. After that everywhere we went Beach bar, Portofino or Posieden a bottle of red wine was kept at room temperature just for us!! We only ate in Zeus twice during our 13 night stay. We don't like buffets very much but it was okay and the girls who clear away are so friendly and smiley. We love Posieden. The food is wonderful and Mr Cubas and his staff are excellent. Portofino was excellent too and again the staff are what make this hotel great. My husband enjoyed the gym over at the Zen Spa. I had two Thai massages which were amazing. I also used the spa with its warm water pool. This has now closed for a week while they refurbish the floors etc. Our only negative comment would be we don't like leaving!!! Thank you to everyone who made our stay fantastic again.

Just returned from our second stay at the Salomé, both stays in late Nov, the first in 2013.
Our stays coincide with my birthday and our wedding anniversary. It's terrific relaxing for 10 days enjoying a winter sun break that's just 4.5 hours flying time from the UK. Costa Adeje is but a 20 minute taxi ride, 16 kms, from Tenerife's southern airport, Reina Sofa - so super quick transits.
The Salomé area houses 28 executive suites all overlooking the Atlantic bay - with direct views of the sunset. Has its own exclusive swimming pool, day time dining area and bar.
The primary evening dining area is buffet style, where you can eat in or outside - good quality food, great selection; do try the great fresh pasta with sauce ingredients of your choice. There are two other restaurants for dinner - a la carte - the Poseidon, branded gourmet eating, it is not, the food is decent but nothing special and the Italian, Portofino, is cosy and serves decent wholesome food plus freshly made pizzas. We ate in both, the Poseidon is slightly more formal and the menu somewhat disappointing. That said, both offer a nice change from the mass dinning buffet experience, with Portofino our preferred choice - but do give both a try.
What makes the Salomé special is the terrific service provided by the excellent Kim and her whole team. Always attentive and responsive without being intrusive. A special thanks to Debbie for her help to us. Also a special mention for the excellent troop of smiley housemaids who ensure rooms are spotless, towels are refreshed twice a day and beds are turned down - top job.
You'll also likely enjoy great service from Francisco who serves from the dedicated Salomé bar area during the day. On both our stays we have found the staff in all areas to be very good, they make your stay stress free, easy and thoroughly enjoyable - 5 star service indeed.

Excellent holiday again at the Salome which is exceptionally good. Staff are superb always smiling and attentive; a different hotel from the mainstream in Tenerife. We were upgraded to the Presidential suite so no quibbles about rooms obviously. Weather a bit iffy and some storms appeared which, excepting on one day, blew over quickly. Many people, including us, do not want buffet meals when everyone is at the trough at the same time and have to queue. Having a meal, particularly in Spain, should be an experience, an entertainment lasting some hours and with the self service buffet it seems that it is necessary to get it over as soon as possible - good for the hotel and staff but not so good for the guest. There are two other restaurants at the Salome, the Poseidon and the Portofino which have full service. The Poseidon is OK but with a virtually unchanging menu (since January), and the Portofino could and should be improved as it does not achieve its potential. We're voting with our feet again and have booked for January 2015.

Room Tip: 23 all suite hotel within the Hotel Anthelia. There are suites, prime location suites which have better access to the pool area and superior suites which are bigger. All the suites are excellent and spacious and the 'ordinary' ones are fine. All are private and pool and sea facing. The clientele, like us, is on the mature side and there is a minimum age for children which I think is 16 which may be an attraction for some.

3rd visit this year and will be back next year. Superb location, very clean rooms and all your needs catered for. If you want a flashy hotel this is not it. If you want a hotel that makes you feel at home and wants your custom then this is definately the one. From Kim the deputy manager to the butlers Debbie, Gilda, Alex and Vanessa, to Montoya and Richard in the bar and Ruth at breakfast all work hard for you and are the hotels strength as most people want to see the same consistent staff. It is amazing the amount of people that we talked to have returned many times. The two a la carte restaurants are very good and the buffet restaurant serve good food as well. We stay bed and breakfast as there are very good restaurants within a 10 minute walk in playa del du que. Even playa de Las Americas which is a 15 minute taxi ride has some very good restaurants. I would like to think that we will also visit this hotel at least once every year.it is not rated so highly on trip advisor for no reason.go you won't be disappointed

I'm not sure what i can add to all of the other reviews, this hotel is just the best. Brilliant service, very friendly staff, and the food was to die for. Stunning rooms. We had a ground floor with direct access to the pool area which was really handy to pop back to the room if we needed to.
I never thought i was the kind of person that could literally do nothing all day but lounge by the pool and read, turns out that the environment here helps to make that happen.
I can't find the right words to express my delight with this hotel, just a very big Thank You to all the staff, namely Gilda, you really made our Honeymoon.
