Have just returned from a belated Mothers Day treat, "afternoon tea". What a beautiful experience. A lovely "parlour" just for us, with mouthwatering sandwiches and homemade cakes and scones to die for. Copious amounts of tea and coffee. I loved it and would recommend this wholeheartedly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

What a wonderful place in the Wales/Shropshire countryside! Upon arrival, Amelia checked us in & took us to our room. Tucked round the back of the property, our room was clean & bright and we had direct access to the walled garden which was just beautiful. Rather than a small bathroom off the bedroom, the en-suite was up a spiral staircase & was the size of the bedroom below with a double size shower, twin sinks and a claw foot bath in the centre of the room. Breathtaking.

The only negative to the stay was hitting an enormous pothole on the way to the Lodge. However, after making arrangements with the assist team, we knew we were going to have someone come out to us at some point on Monday. . Regardless of the reasons, any other hotel would have insisted we vacated the room & checked out on time. Not superstar Amelia though who simply couldn't have been more helpful. She let us keep our room all day until the mechanic arrived & feed us toast, coffee & biscuits while we waited.

I can't recommend this place enough. Perfectly placed for people attending a function at nearby Iscoyd Park or anyone simply visiting the area. You won't find a more amenable host than Amelia...... or a more beautiful bathroom!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful hotel for a night whilst attending a wedding at a nearby location. Amelia is a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble for her even down to loaning us an umbrella to take to the wedding. We stayed in the grooms suite which was located on the first floor. There was ample accommodation for my wife and I and my two teenage children. Of particular attraction was the attic room which my youngest took over. The main bedroom was sumptuously equipped. The massive bathroom was amazing with Molton Brown toiletries and Bed Head shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was served in the dining room, there was a great choice of cereals and fresh fruit and the full English breakfast using locally sourced ingredients was excellent. We wish that we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much Amelia and team for making our stay so wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Arrived Saturday lunch time at the b&b before we were attending a wedding.
The b&b let us have an early check in, which was appreciated.
When we first arrived a friendly member of staff greeted us and brought up coffee and brownies to our room.
The room (and b&b) was just stunning, amazing bathroom and everything was just so clean and comfortable.
Would have loved to have stayed a few more nights, would definitely visit again and recommend!

Stopped here for one night . Very well presented and luxury rooms . Exceptional comfortable bed and the best nights sleep for a while. Amelia is a lovely host and nothing is too much trouble. Great choice for breakfast and not just a full Welsh on offer. The smoked salmon and eggs that my wife had was delicious. Quiet at this time of year but book well in advance in the summer months as you won't be able to get in otherwise. A classy place that is well worth the money.
