We just arrived into Gore and the T.I. office found the room for us. Very happy with it. Had everything we needed, was nice and large and clean and warm with a comfortable bed. We had a unit around the back and it was nice and quite. Stayed 2 nights and could not complain about anything. Had a laundry , and the young man, Andrew, who checked us in was very helpful, looking up information for us. All units are ground floor which rates highly with us. No complaints at all.
We stayed here for one night but liked it so much we came back again on our way home. The units are very spacious with comfy beds and armchairs. The separate kitchen had a full sized oven so we utilized this by cooking our evening meal there. Great bathrooms with high pressure showers. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend this motel to others. On the outskirts of town it is very easy to locate.
We loved staying at this Motel. We were lucky enough to get one of the newer units ( not saying the others aren't ok because we didn't see them ). Very modern, roomy and comfortable. Friendly staff in the morning when we explained that a previous guest had burnt something in the microwave. Couldn't have been more apologetic. Totally not their fault. We can highly recommend the Unit we stayed in.
We booked here last minute as a stopover on our way home. We had the 2 bedroom unit as we are a family of 5 and the price was very reasonable, so much so that we were a little scared that perhaps it would be too 'budget'. Need not have worried. Although the units are older the interior was very pleasing. It had everything we needed with a fully equiped kitchen, plenty of beds and space. The shower was AMAZING, so much water pressure. Even the beds were comfy. Owner was very nice and helpful and let our kids borrow DVDs overnight. Didn't have a problem with vehicle noise, heard the train once but let's face it, Kiwi trains aren't exactly long so it was over pretty quick. Can recommend the Charlton Motel to others and if ever we find ourselves in Gore again we'll be sure to book.
On the 3rd December I checked in for one night with a friend. The lady was lovely on arrival and very professional. We requested a later checkout of 12pm and that was accepted with no problems. We had a very enjoyable stay, the room was very presentable and spacious! I would highly recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼
