Shipped into here only because of air-travel delays, thank goodness.

VERY dated decor, minimal furniture & facilities in room, no showerhead (just the hose), sheets left to make your own bed and old white towels which are now greying, albeit clean. The only lift is large enough for 1 person + a suitcase at a time and has no side walls so you can count the bricks on your way up & down...I would suggest this is not a disabled-friendly venue, although not 'tested'.

Lots of heavy traffic noise (coaches & lorries) during the night due to the location near the main village road, somewhat drowned out by the air conditioning (a paid-for extra). Friends reported an intermittent electric supply and that the rooms facing out to sea were mosquito-ridden. Everyone agreed the mattresses felt they were stuffed with gravel from B&Q; only one pillow per person was provided.

Orange squash (!) served at breakfast but the coffee was good; the inadequate toaster quickly accumulated a queue. Very narrow range of breakfast food, mainly bread and plain cake. Staff spoke little English, the clientele was mainly east European.

Certainly not the hotel standard expected by 21st century west / north European travellers to France / Spain / the Canaries / almost anywhere, even for a budget break.

The only redeeming feature was the panoramic sea-view from the restaurant and rooms on that side of the building.

Suggest this place is given a wide berth in favour of possibly more expensive hotels in the area - there's plenty of choice in this very pretty coastal area.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else completely, pronto.

We were sent here for the night after our flight was delayed,I was amazed at the Standard of the Rooms. It was like going back to the Seventies!Very basic and bare it was like being in a Youth Hostel. The Photographer who took the photos on here of the rooms is a Magician. It was clean and if you were not bothered about having a nice room then it would serve its purpose but is probably worth 20 to 25 Euros a night.

Pro

- near the beach
- cleaning everyday

Cons

- old beds (we didn't get a double bed, but 3 small ones which was awful for a couple)
- TV not working
- old toilet
- old furniture
- fridge not working while out of the room
- too much noise on the road side
- air conditioner must be paid
- new sheets only every 4 days
- breakfast good only in the first day then it gets boring and bad.

I was at this hotel in the main vacation of this summer. I heard that rooms with mountain veiw are a little bit noisy because of traffic. So, I asked if we will get rooms with view to the sea. First, they telled us that there's no available rooms with sea view. They gave the keys and when we realised that we get rooms with sea view. I thought that was a mistake but no, it was a very beautiful surprise due to their understanting. Chryssi Akti is a clean hotel, safe, but most important the staff is great! Beside that every task, demands, or anything, we didn't redused us... Thank you very much good people! :*

Very good balance comfort / costs , in a good and clean hotel.
The seaside view and all the sensory experience was magnificent.
Good services and kind reception employees.
The direct and close access to the swimming pool, sunbeds or the blue flag beach are real advantages.
