The enormity of this place can't be expressed in a post. The history and culture of this place is amazing. It was part of my trip, however I couldn't resist.

This a great historical citidal and recently has been renovated. From Chegizhan to Hulagu and many other emperors have lied siege on this citidal. Perhaps the latest dictators to conquer was Saddam Husein but citidal continues to survive as a Kurdish city.

The citadel of Erbil is a nice place to visit, it tells about the ancient history of this place. Unfortunately, some parts are closed for the public. The entrance is free

I had been here in 2014, the place was more alive and full with people , not dark like this time..any way as historicalplace it is very interesting the citadel it self and the shops around with all kind of stuff from clothes to local sweets.
