This place is more beautiful than the pictures. But beyond that, they do so many things extremely well. The service from arrival to leaving is absolutely fantastic. No one ever seems to be expecting tips although we did tip regularly. But the service is incredibly friendly and they want to take care of all your needs. The breakfast buffet each morning is absolutely fantastic and high quality food. I consider myself to have high food standards and I would say most of the dinners are very good. The Indian place, Haab, is easily the best restaurant at Generations. The Indian food there is as good if not better than you will get in any Indian restaurant where you live. The Mexican fiesta night is a must attend and the food is wonderful. Palms for lunch is okay and was probably the weak link overall but you can't beat the views. We stayed in a three room suite with connecting rooms on either side where the grandparents stayed. It was truly a fantastic and easy experience with a young child in tow. The "More Inclusive" thing really provided great benefits. The complimentary Aqua Nick, Maroma, and Bonanza (no horse riding) experiences were amazing to be included. The beach at the resort is limited in terms of being able to go in the water, pretty rocky. But Maroma is one of the nicer beaches you will visit.

We stayed in Generations. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. Each staff member you in-counter greets you with a smile and “HOLA”. The restaurants we tried were very enjoyable. It’s hard to pick a favorite, from breakfast looking over the beach at The Palms, to a steak and shrimp dinner at Santa Fe. So much to choose from Kampala -Japanese, D’Italia-Italian to American favorites like, great wood fire pizza, burgers, fries and of course amazing traditional Mexican food. We had the best Butlers Gerard, Ana and Diego, who constantly checked in on us, ready to assist in anyway. Our beach butlers Jose,Gabriel,Jesus and Ramon, were very attentive and provided one of a kind service. Their kindness and upscale hospitality created fond memories, that will last a lifetime, and have us returning in the future.

We stayed at Generations for Spring break in March 2024. While we were there, we had several extreme safety concerns. One of the kids in our party sliced his hand on the handrail. Just walking down, the stairs- there is sharp pieces of metal sticking out. This required him to ER in Cancun, which he received several stitches. This made it so he could not go in water for several days. Unfortunately, not much there to do that is not water related. After he was cleared to go back in water, we attended the foam party where this poor kid sliced his toe open on the bar stools in pool. This again needed to be closed this time we were smart and bought skin adhesive. The resort needs so many safety updates. Lights falling off above pool deck, sliding doors to pool fell off- when called Maintenace they just put duct tape on the sharp metal pieces. Closet doors falling off. The railings that are on the swim up rooms falling off the beam. We brought this to attention of management and emailed several times after our stay, but they did not seem interested at all to respond. Restaurants are pretty good for most part - not a 5 star but better than some resorts we have been to. Butlers try so hard to help and be there for anything you need but they are short staffed so they are running around like crazy trying to do the best they can. Le Petie Chef was an amazing experience i would defiantly recommend. The resort is in desperate need of updates not only aesthetically be for safety of the clients that are staying there. For the price of our stay i would not return.
