After our flight was cancelled in Queenstown, we decided to drive home.
We arrived late at the lodge. So grateful for a warm, cozy clean room.
Had a great sleep in a comfy bed.
Didnt get to try the spa, but will next time for sure.

Very friendly and easy check-in, clean and comfortable room and bed, standard breakfast. Not many parking spots. Spa and sauna not used but looked inviting. Staff offered to help source an evening takeaway meal as all restaurants were booked out.
The accommodation was adequate but expensive for what was provided. The breakfast only had weetbix and cornflakes and basic bread for toast with limited spread options (no marmalade).
Little things like only one teaspoon in the room and no PowerPoint near a mirror so it makes it difficult to dry your hair.
The wall sockets were vertical type fixed horizontally, that makes my wonder if they were fitted by someone who wasn’t an electrician.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Centrally located in Methven - handy to everything (though Methven is a small village).
Very dated and tired room which didn't match expectations based on marketing imagery.
Great value and location for electric camping site while skiing at Mt. Hutt. Walkable to everything you need. They were also super accommodating and let us check out late to ski on check out date. Would definitely stay again!
A great place to stay for skiing - the ski bus stops right outside. The spa and sauna provide welcome relieve at the end of the day. The rooms are comfortable with heating and electric blankets. A complimentary continental breakfast was provided early for the snow trippers.
