Everything was wonderful at this place. The food, the rooms, the garden and the area where the hotel is located. The food was excellent and the hosts make you feel welcome. I highly recommend Riverside B&B

Riverside B&B is the perfect place if you are traveling around New Zealand
Kieran and Lynn are very helpful and they suggested me a wonderful way to drive to Lake Tekapo !
Is well located in the center of Kurow

The facilities are excellent but what sets this place apart from the competition is the excellence of the cooking. I very rarely take pictures of food but did so here and the home cured salmon and the pudding shown below were truly excellent not to mention the main course of roast lamb. As a solo traveller it was good to join a communal meal with the other five guests and our hosts. A very convivial occasion.
It was so magnificent I decided to stay on an extra night (also waiting for the clear day at Mount Cook) and although booked up, Kieran and Lynn fixed me up with a neighbour within walking distance so that I could return for my dinner with a completely different but every bit as good menu

We were very happy to be welcomed by our gracious hosts Lyn and Kieran on a very wet and cold afternoon with a dry place for the bikes, gorgeous rooms to shower and freshen up, tea and home baking.
With the most excellent catering and charming surroundings we found "Riverside" a warm and comfortable haven from Cyclone Cook! We hope to come back one day.

We had a wonderful, warm and welcoming stop over at Riverside B&B (enroute A2O cycle). Kieran and Lynn are fantastic hosts sharing their beautiful home and country. Dinner and breakfast was amazing with such a huge variety of friuts and vegetables sourced from their garden. Do yourself a favour and book in for a night or two.

We stayed at Riverside B&B for one night while we were completing the Alps 2 Ocean.
As the former owners of Poppies Cafe in Twizel, Lyn and Kieran are more than capable of ensuring that your visit to their beautiful home is perfect in every way.
Lyn, the former Maitre d' at Poppies, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and Kieran as the former Head Chef at Poppies cooked up a storm for both breakfast and dinner. Their dog Frankie is super cute and makes sure everyone gets a hug.
Would definitely recommend a visit. Wish we could have stayed longer.
