Stop on the way to Christchurch at this small town, we got a good coffee and nice pies. Relax for a while at the outdoor seats, enjoy the warm summer, see busy traffic passing to or from Kaikoura. Quick and friendly services from the staff.

Popped in on our way through about midday and breakfast was still on offer. The muffin looked nice in the cabinet but must have been prepared early morning and hardened under those heat lamps. It just wasn’t fresh or nice anymore. Given a rating of 3 as companion had a pie which was ‘ok’. We didn’t try the cakes. Service was fine however, and toilets clean. Maybe if wanting something hot to eat try somewhere else ....

We went for lunch after slack service along the road at Two Rivers Cafe drive us to leave. Lovely lunch with great service thank you.

Basic fare of pies, sandwiches and rolls. Not a very exciting selection but the milkshake I had was OK and the roll could have had more filling to balance out the bread roll itself. Friendly staff and very clean with toys to entertain the kids.
