Great hospitality

We stayed here for 4 nights so that we could do some walks in the area. The room was comfortable and clean with good services and a lovely view down the river valley to the mountains. Kirsty is a wonderful host and we enjoyed her company. The meals were typical pub food but there was something on the menu every night to keep us all happy.

Very clean well equipped room. Good pub food and helpful service. Recommended as a great stopover when crossing the island. Walks are easily accessible and alpine views appealing. There is good free internet reception and ample parking.

Amazing views from the rooms. Kirsty was such a great hoestess with the mostest. A true professional with southern charm and hospitality that took time out to get to know us. Food was great and the rooms had an amazing bed with modern touches that made the stay very special

We stayed at The Bealey on 11August 2020. Just called in and were lucky to get a room. But so glad we did. We had Villa 5 which had a cute little balcony looking down the valley, beautiful outlook.
Our room had a very comfortable king bed, there was also a single in the room. Totally refurbished room & bathroom really lovely.
We had dinner at the hotel which was delicious.
Owners are very welcoming and friendly.

Absolutely loved our entire visit to the Bealey Hotel, right from the time our gracious host collected us from the train stop. Our first step into the welcoming restaurant/bar area heated by a cosy fire was just the beginning of wonderful things to come. The delicious meal served to us in the midst of a stampede of people arriving for dinner unexpectedly was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was made extra special due to the fabulous music playing quietly in the background. Our accommodation was spectacular as were the views of the mountains and river from our windows. Kirsty and Matty are a friendly, generous, down to earth couple who made our stay in Arthur's Pass extra special. I can not wait to come back to this majestic place and share our journey with these lovely people again. Thank you so much and Happy Anniversary!

Gorgeous scenery, great staff who are welcoming and the parks up top are spacious.

To checkin there weren't greatly defined directions, you need to enter the main building and go up to the bar resturant facility area.

I love how family orientated this place is, with board games to keep the kids occupied.

The studio room was lovely and cozy, with a heatpump, and excellent tv setup with ready to use netflix, lightbox etc the refurbished rooms are like to be expected in a 4 star hotel, small but clean, modern and comfortable.

I love the fairtrade teas and hot chocolate, and the lush bathroom products.

The meals were delicious, abit on the expensive side for what they were, but tasty all the same..and expected for in the middle of nowhere, and a touristy location.

The studio room had a magical view, and the bed was to die for!

A little noisy, could hear the footsteps from next door, but overall a wonderful stay!
