Along Arthur’s Pass you’ll come across this piece of engineering marvel. It makes for a good way to break up the trip and snap some great photos

The day we had to drive thru here, there was heavy snow overnight. The roads were closed till 1pm and all vehicles had to carry chains. We were fortunate to rent them and had them in the car. But many cars had to buy a new set from the petrol station and it costed a bomb. We waited for about 1 hour before the roads opened. Thankfully we didn't have to use our chains and the drive was very pleasant and the scenary was really unforgettable. Blanketed with snow. Drive slowly and give yourself enough time for sure. This is not an easy drive and take breaks between.

We missed the view but still a very nice place. We also get to see Keas and hoping for food. Don't feed them as human food is harmful and turns kea into beggars.
