There is a lookout where you can watxh the big viaduct in the middle of the mountains valley. The bridge is enormous.

It's a long and steep drive to Arthur's Pass from Franz Josef so it's a nice break here. Beautiful view of the viaduct and the friendly Kea wandering around.

The engineers achievements in this harsh part of NZ is just outstanding. The way they have dealt with massive slips and waterfalls is awesome. Well worth a stop to take it all in. The Keas flying around us were a bonus.

Just a quick stop on the way deeper into the park. The view on viaduct is impresive and Kea parrots all around you cute :-)

This overlook is a must stop. Most beautiful landscape we encountered on our drive down from as far north as Whangerie on North Island. Fun bonus was seeing local parrot (kea) flying about.
