“absolutely stunning property & location”
Reviewed 18 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

just come home from our 2nd holiday at this property. very sad to leave as this is just perfect for us. location cannot be faulted and many happy hours can be spent watching the waves. beach is quiet and very clean. local pub is very good for food and a drink. all in all, the best holiday home we gave ever stayed in.

“Superb Holiday Bungalow by the Sea.”
Reviewed 9 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Fantastic holiday bungalow. The bungalow is immaculately clean and well maintained. On arrival the fridge is already stocked with wine, milk and water, the welcome tray consisting of fresh bread, jams, biscuits tea and coffee etc. is most welcome, fresh flowers are a lovely added touch.
The bungalow is large with lots of space for all, including the dog. There is a very large conservatory overlooking the quiet beach with outstanding views of the Sea.
There are lots of walks in the local area not only along the sea front but up to Bacton Church or to Walcott and the priory ruins. A short drive ( or walk if you are feeling fit) and you are in the beautiful Bacton Woods. Fantastic if you have dogs that need walking. Even the beach has sections that are dog friendly.
Locally there are a couple of small grocery shops, chip shop, pub and café serving the most delicious cake! More shops and larger supermarkets can be found about 4 miles away in North Walsham.
Wonderful holiday. Will definitely return.

“The Jewel In Norfolks' Crown”
Reviewed 3 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This place is spot on ,I can't offer enough praise for the location, property or owner (Laura P).
The first time we stayed here we were amazed at the vista after entering the front door, amazing ! I think the best compliment I can give is that I wish I had been in a position to gazump Laura when the property was on the market last year! A truly wonderful holiday destination for young and old alike(and mutts) .The Sugar and Spice,Poachers Pocket,Bacton Fish n Chip shop, walks along beach to Happisburgh with return journey along the cliff path,Sammy the seal ,relaxing in the conservatory listening to the sea on a stormy night, shear bliss. As Arnie would say "I Will Be Back".

“Amazing”
Reviewed 10 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Wow, could not have celebrated my birthday in a more beautiful place, it was like home from home. Fantastic personal touches, an unexpected welcome pack and a beautiful sandy beach which we were fortunate to have to ourselves apart from the seagulls which actually weren't a nuisance, perhaps due to the dog, and a couple of unexpected seals.

Could not fault this place, was in a lovely quiet location which was only a walk away from the local pub and shops.

Hope to be going back again in the very near future.

Marilyn

“Idyllic escapism”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in October 2014

I've stayed a few times before and would return at any time, even during winter. The large conservatory is perfect for watching the sun rise over the sea and the layout of the cottage is very good and comfortable. Being able to take my dog was brilliant, especially being so close to the dog-friendly beaches. Walking up and down the sea wall is a lovely way to spend any day, and when the tide goes out the beaches are perfect for walking along and letting the dog run across. The pub down the road is lovely and does a fantastic carver on Sundays (make sure you're hungry!). Honestly, I can't really comment on the surrounding area as I rarely venture out along the coast, such is the peacefulness of the cottage. It has always felt like a proper friendly home.

In terms of utility, it's extremely easy to work everything out. The entire property was very clean and pleasant. A small thing, but being so close to the beach, it's easy to imagine there's be sand everywhere - there wasn't! There is plenty of storage and ways of making yourself feel at home, for longer stays. The cooking facilities are very good and clean and the fridge is sizeable so no issues for me storing food and drink for a long weekend. There are convenience stores in the village but you would need to travel further out to get more food stuffs.

The chippie on the beach front does excellent fish n chips, and lovely ice cream for a stroll back along the sea front. They are maybe a 10-minute walk along the sea wall.

There's wifi and a decent TV, plus some games etc so there's enough to keep most people entertained. It's not a Butlin camp though so there's little for kids to do (that I know of, anyway) but actually, that's not why I went! It's a peaceful place to escape to and is my go-to place for unwinding/hiding from the world.
