I was totally digusted with this Motel. I have stayed in a lot of accommodation from budget through to expensive and the price we paid was unfair for the the room we were put into. The facilities were what I would expect for a basic studio but the cleanliness was disgusting. We had to wash everything before using it due to unclean drawers, utensils, cups etc. The fridge didn't even warrant putting our food in except in a closed container. The mattress on the bed was torn and very worn, i didn't want to look any further. Pulling back the cover and there was a bug. On the spare single bed was dirt and crap and walking into the shower, hair on the shower floor, made me not want to even have one. I couldnt wait to get home to have a shower and feel clean again. I have stayed in cabins and tents and this was worse than the whole lot put together. A very very disappointing stay. The host was more interested in her personal life story to us than greeting us and showing us wary travellers to our room.

Room Tip: I wouldn't help choose a room here at all

Definitely not flash! Old and tired rooms that could do with a major overhaul! Overpriced for what's on offer. Bathroom amenties were the poorest I've seen and I've stayed in a few motels. Will not stay again and would not recommend.

Its not flash but Barbara and her daughter who run the place are fantastic, its very clean and tidy so if you want something your not paying through the nose for great if you are looking for something flash go somewhere else, we need an extra bed at the last minute and it arrived they made it up and looked after us. Would stay again. Thanks Robin

Stayed for a night over long weekend in June in one of the ground floor studio units (which is in a separate wing from the main building where the hostel is). Chattels were tired but place was tidy and not noisy at all. For the price we paid, it was a fair deal. Very close to supermarket. Friendly staff.

Room Tip: Go for studio unit.

This is the worst kept motel I have found in New Zealand. It is used by shearers, - which is fine, but don't take your family there on holidays !!
The rooms were small and not very clean ,
The furniture were old and the bed sheets, curtains, etc were faded, the towels looked like the dog had slept on them!!
And it was expensive.!
It could be a very nice motel if it was properly maintained and managed.

Room Tip: don't book
