Location a little out of town and well away from the road. On arriving we passed some deer and llama farm lands from the neighbours before we arrived at this 1890 mansion. We stayed only one night and since we were the only guests, we could choose from the several beautifully decorated rooms. Naturally we took the large front side “Bridal Suite” (58 m2) with king-size bed and en-suite modern shower room (4m2, with very large shower), but we could also use the classic bathroom with the old style lion claw bathtub. The very fine quality linen on the bed was the best you can get. The room led out onto a large balcony where we spent an evening looking out over the gardens, at passing bats, the stars and sipping our wine. The large house is really a gem with fine wooden floors and the interior full of style and collected antiques. We spend a lovely afternoon chatting with Elizabeth while having high tea. The morning, after a sumptuous breakfast with self-made jams, Robin came home from travelling and enthusiastically showed us his collection of old musical instruments and tools, and then showed us around the wedding hall and his restored antique vehicles. Would truly have loved to stay longer at this fantastic B&B!!
