“Really well looked after”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2015

We stayed here for a night in January 2015, because we wanted somewhere close to Gulf Harbour, from where we were to take a boat across to Tiritiri Matangi island the following morning. We arrived quite late, but this wasn't a problem for our host, Carolyn, who checked us in and made us feel really at home, with a complimentary bottle of wine, basket of food and a relaxed and friendly manner that we encountered so often among New Zealanders. While the bedroom was a little small, guests have free use of the lounge and veranda, and so overall you have plenty of space. Breakfast, cooked by Carolyn's husband Arnold, was served on the veranda with a view of Manly Bay, and was delicious. If you need a place to stay in Whangaparaoa, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Bayview.

Lovely room, amazing choice of food for breakfast including fresh fruit and a choice of cooked dishes. The friendliest of hosts. Carolyn could not have done any more to look after us. Next time will choose Room 1 which is larger and has views towards the sea.

This place is AWESOME! An easy drive from Auckland; for us on our way to Northland and the Bay of Islands. The room was of a high standard, clean and comfy with great views. The welcome as warm and friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with our hosts. The welcome basket was a generous treat and we can't thank you enough for the hearty and delicious breakfast in the morning - it is top of our personal 'best breakfast list'!

When we head your way again we shall be hoping you are not fully booked and we will definitely make time to explore around your beautiful coastline.

Thanks very much. Dan and Jen

Superb B&B with welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Free bottle of wine and basket of goodies provided on arrival. Very comfortable room with sea view across the bay. Fantastic choice for breakfast which was beautifully presented and cooked, all possible options were covered to suit every taste. We didn't need to eat again all day!. Plenty of restaurants nearby with every possible choice of food options.Carolyn provided lots of local information and help on how to reach attractions, in fact we changed our schedule to include the Waipu museum which was well worth a visit. Would highly recommend Bayview for your stay in the area.

Everything you could ask for in a B&B and more - wonderful room with great views, extremely helpful and knowledgeable host and special extras (goody basket and wine on arrival, port and chocolates after dinner). An extensive breakfast menu is on offer - can thoroughly recommend the pancakes with fresh fruit. The choices for dinner at the nearby shopping centre are plentiful and varied and only a short walk away. Bayview Manley will be top of our list next time we are holidaying in Auckland.
