We only stayed for one night recently, but for a bargain price we enjoyed all the space offered by the cottage. The bed was comfy, the bathroom spotless (I’ve never seen such a sparkling shower base outside of a brand new one) and having a whole cottage was so much better than a motel room. Tea, coffee etc were supplied, but no milk, so bring your own.
Dinner at the Turangi Tavern was also very good.

This is a great little place to stay. The (reasonably new) owners are absolutely lovely and full of helpful tips & local knowledge. Room is compact but well laid out and the heat pump kept it warm on an icy night. Shared kitchen facilities are comprehensive and sparkling clean. The lounge is clean and homey (complete with a pool table!). Wifi was fast and reliable.

It's a lodge not a hotel - so the room is smaller than some other places and doesn't have a TV. But this place has a lovely vibe and is excellent value for the price!

The twin bedded rooms are small with very little storage space and are without a tv. There is a spacious tv room where you can socialise with other guests. A large, very clean and well equipped communal kitchen is available for preparing meals. Tea and coffee is provided. The motel is just off the main road without road noise. There is a self service laundry, great wifi and friendly staff.

Stayed in the separate cottage and we were both very happy. The room was extremely clean and inviting. Priced very well and left happy with our choice. Well equipped room and has all you would need for a longer stay. We were only there for one night. Very established gardens, not a lot of noise and a comfortable bed. Well done and keep up the great work.

we stayed one night at the Sportsman Lodge, and it was really nice! The rooms are a bit small, but comfortable and clean! Great value! on-site laundry was nice. Staff was helpful, and it was an easy drive to restaurants, bars, stores. Nice river walk available right out the back of the property
