Splashed out for 2 nights on a villa at Lakes Resort, managed by Bachcare. Was a bit surprised to have to pay $200 bond and then a mandatory $92 cleaning fee, which I now wonder what it's used for. As instructed we texted the Bachcare manager with our arrival time and received a reply that there would be someone to let us in. We ended up sitting outside the gate for 35 mins before he deemed to open the gate for us. The villa itself was spacious and relatively clean. However could not use the BBQ or oven as both were covered in grease and dirty pans. Drier didn't work till I cleaned the lint out, probably first time in its history given the densely packed lint block I had to remove. Worse though was that I had taken the more expensive villa so we could use the swimming pool facilities. However the key we were given did not work and we could only access the pool if other users were there to unlock the gate. I left 2 voice mail messages for the Bachcare manager but had no response. Overall a lovely setting but with no mobile reception and no on site manager to assist it's not worth what you pay for it.More
