Got a take out carvery from here, meat was very dry and the yorkshire puddings were like rocks and burnt we chucked them out, very disappointing all round.

Ordered salad carvery. Meat was dry as over cooked. Salad not at it's best, potatoes reheated in microwave. Uncle had fish and chips, fish reheated in microwave batter was solid from over sapped in microwave, reheated mushy peas, dry and cracked, chips reheated and a disgrace and not forgetting the starter sauce that had a layer of skin on as obviously been stood in paper container that day. This was not a special I ordered but off the menu that I worked hard for as a treat for me and my uncle ..... absolute disgrace

We visited as a family of 7 for Sunday lunch. The noise is quite unbelievable. You can’t tear people talking across the table. The food was ok. Plenty of meat given in the carvery and this was very nice. But the veg were very basic. Boiled carrots which had not been peeled. Frozen peas. Deep fried parsnips !! Cauliflower cheese but the sauce did not taste of cheese and was the consistency of milk. The roasties were ok although I missed mash as it was not served. We didn’t stay for dessert. Service was good and staff friendly.

We chose the upstairs function room for a funeral lunch, and it was a perfect fit in every way. Nick and Barbara transformed what was a sad occasion into a very happy one, by their thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail.
The location, with views looking down into King Edward's Bay, is stunning, the room was just the right size for 50 people, and the food was superb (and exceptional value). The compliments were flying from all concerned.
