Barb was our guide and made the trip perfect. She knows a lot of the history and drives slow enough for you to enjoy the breath taking views. The hike is not for beginners, but if you take your time anyone else can do. The views during the entire hike are spectacular and the biggest issue is taking too long taking pictures. The first half of the hike is all up hill with a steep downhill to a beach and then a steep up hill. From then on it is a slow decent to your pick up point. I would not do in the rain. (I am near 60 and just above a beginner hiker) some spots would be extremely slippery. Also, when Barb offers you a trekking pole, take it! No matter the weather.
