My husband went with a group of 8 men using the family room at the Seaview Motel as they were visiting Coromandel from Australia to go on a fishing charter. The family room suited their needs perfectly and was very clean and comfortable. Karen & Ross were just wonderful hosts and couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend this place for couples, families or groups.

This is our 4th trip to NZ and first time to Coromandel. This place is the best. We booked for 2 nights but extended for 2 more nights. The new owners are amazing. They are so friendly and are eager to get you whatever you need to make your stay the best it can be. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. You have all you need int the kitchenette. the private decks that look out onto the bays are awesome. The views are amazing and the decks are covered for when it rains. The drive to town is close for food and adventures. They have 2 dogs Riley and Fergus are so friendly and are just wanting to love you and welcome you to their awesome home. We will stay here again on our next visit for sure!!!

Friendly hosts at this small establishment (4rooms) mean a good level of service. The building is modern and well maintained.
If you have the family suite the bathroom will be outside of the unit. And you may have the annoyance of the spa humming through the night so ask for it to be switched off.
Rooms are well appointed with the only means of cooking being a gas BBQ.

Wow that is what we thought as we stepped out of our car, looked at the views then at the property itself, what a great motel situated in an absolutely stunning location. The Lodge is situated approximately 2 km outside Coromondel Town, up a fairly steep hill, however since most tourists arrive by motorised transport this is not a problem it literally is 2 minutes away from town. Our welcome by the owners Gail and Deb was second to none, we were also given lots of information about the area and local restaurants and provided with the owners contact number should we need to speak with them. We were shown to our room which had the most amazing views of the ocean. Tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean this is far more than a Motel/B & B, much more like a very smart boutique studio apartment. The kitchen has adequate utensils etc and a kettle, toaster and microwave are provided. Our room had a fantastic gas BBQ on the decking outside which we could have used had we wished to. Gal and Deb also offer breakfasts, dinner and alcoholic drinks for supplementary payments, the meals are home cooked, you can just look in the Guest Information Booklet in your room for the prices and information on how to order, then just sit back and relax whilst your meal is prepared. Free WiFi is readily available and during our visit tropical storm Hola came by and even this did not affect the WiFi which was amazing. Plenty of on site parking provided too. Rooms are not routinely serviced every day, so you will have to be really grown up and make your own beds, this is quite common in Europe when apartments are usually only serviced every three to four days, however if you really can’t put up with this just speak to either of the ladies and I am quite sure they will accommodate you.

Room tip: Book the Honeymoon Suite you won’t be disappointed

It’s all about the view at the Seaview Motel.
Such a relaxed, chilled motel. Could not fault the motel except if full with guests the wifi was a little limited.
The honeymoon suit is a must views of both beaches surrounding.
Limited things to see and do in Coromandal. 2 days would be more then enough.
Deb and Gail could not have been more accommodating with a tour to the room and a daily clean of the room.
Beautiful spot and the spa is a bonus!
