The Colonial cottages have everything needed for staying a few nights. Very quiet, handy to Coromandel Town and also Driving Creek Railway. Has a couple of Barbecues available and a well equipped laundry.

A group of six of us stayed, in winter, at Coromandel Cottages. Jeepers ... I don't know how they do it for such a great rate! Impeccably clean. Generous cottage and rooms. Friendly and helpful hosts. It really made our getaway all the more special.

Had 2 nights here with a friend in a 2 bedroom cottage. The history of the place is very interesting. Lovely colonial atmosphere ... cottages were spacious and very clean. Interiors a bit dated but sort of in keeping with the colonial theme. Swimming pool was very clean ... laundry facilities great.

A great, peaceful place to stay with excellent amenities. We stayed three nights at Coromandel Cottages and were very pleased with all they had to offer. The cottage was very well appointed with little extras which made it extra special. The rooms were spacious and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen has all you would need if you wanted to self-cater and there was an excellent bbq area outside as well. Our hosts were friendly and helpful during our stay

What a lovely place! Just as the pictures show, though they don’t do justice to the inside of the cabins.
Nice comfortable bed, large room, the whole place was immaculate.
Great kitchenette if you want to cook, and a good sized balcony to sit and enjoy the ambience.
Only a couple of small complaints... the water pressure in the shower wasn’t very good. And there is no curtain or blind on the kitchen window, so the cabin got light pretty early (we left the bedroom door open because of the heat). That’s the only reason I’m giving it a rating of 4/5.
It was baking hot during our visit, and we found it out wasn’t easy to find a suitable power socket to plug the fan into and cool down the bedroom. But we managed by moving some furniture around.
The lady on reception was efficient and helpful.
We felt it was just a bit too far to walk into town in the high temperature, but could have been achieved in 35 minutes or so if we’d tried.
The site has some games around, and a great swimming pool.
It was really quiet and we enjoyed sitting on our cabin balcony in the picturesque setting. It’s almost like the front of a postcard.
