Beautiful small hotel right next to the promenade. The terrace outside the room was perfect for sitting and taking in the view across to the next island. Great location just minutes away from a range of good restaurants and within easy walking distance to the marina and more places to eat and drink. Ceiling fans in the bedroom struggled to cope with the high temperatures, but we knew that before we booked so not a criticism, just an observation. Would stay here again in the future.

Stayed a couple of times at Casa del Embajador. Great place to come and wind down and relax. The hotel is small and quiet (no kids running around!) with direct access to the promenade footpath and 2 minutes walk to the old town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Peaceful terrace where you can relax and soak up the sun. Good breakfast served in courtyard

A completely different experience of staying in a commercial resort. No noise, unless you count the orchestral music gently playing in reception. The staff move around discreetly and silently. Breakfast is served in an enclosed courtyard and although adequate, is served in fairly small quantities. The honesty bar allows guests to drink at any time, noting their choice on a daily log. We took a travel kettle to make our own tea in the room. If I were to mention any negatives; one would be the 5 minute walk dragging suitcase from the bus drop-off point (no turning near the house) and the other would be the extra charge for tea & coffee outside breakfast hours. Also, not the place for those needing a pool. The owner is charming but has limited English. Otherwise, delightful and we'd certainly return, even at the relatively higher prices.

Room tip: Request bed type (double/twin) on arrival. The owner is happy to juggle rooms where possible, especially in quieter periods.

Peaceful small hotel with exit directly onto shoreline footpath. Most of the rooms are on the ground floor with the terrace right outside. So if you're a bloke (or am I not allowed to say that nowadays?) you can climb through the casement window directly onto it! Or for elegance you can walk through the decorative wide corridors picking up some fresh fruit that's always available.
You can sit there watching the ferries plying between here & Fuerteventura and others enjoying the sea in yachts, boats etc.
Good value eating places are within 5 minutes walk.
Breakfast is ok for a 4*. And you do get to eat it outside!
There's only one kettle shared by all the guests in a separate drinks room.
There's no swimming pool so you'll have to use the sea (haven't tried that yet), but even that has been thought about with a foot shower just inside the door from the footpath.
