We stayed for a month in this villa, 4 adults for the whole period and two extra for a shorter stay. We found it clean & comfortable though the indoor seating was a bit limited for six people or even four. However when the evenings are warmer I imagine this is not a problem as there is plenty of space outside and we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets sitting out by the pool. Overall the kitchen is pretty well equipped - we cooked most nights and purchased some extra foil roasting trays..but there were six of us! Showers take a long time to come through with the hot water but when they do they are good and we thought the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect for us, supermarket close by for very drinkable wine (and food of course), an easy walk to Los Colorados or 15 minutes stroll to Marina Rubicon and twenty minute walk to Papagayo beaches where we spent alot of time fishing and swimming. We had a slight problem working out the television, but got a speedy response when we contacted the agent. All in all a good villa to stay in though maybe six adults is a few too many!
Villa Amelie is a very nice house with good sized bedrooms. The open plan lay out downstairs was perfect for us as a family. This villa is advertised as '5 mins from the marina' but as I like to run when staying in Lanzarote my tracker measured it as 1 mile! More like 20 minutes walk! The villa is in a nice quiet location with plenty of parking in front and behind. The only thing we didn't like was the lack of privacy in the garden due to quite low walls all around the pool so for people who like total privacy, I wouldn't recommend. The pool was also quite chilly. On the whole we had a great time there, the supermarket was just across the road and a small shopping
centre and park at las coloradas was handy in the evenings.
We were two friends staying together and like a bedroom and bathroom each so Casa Amelie was a good choice.
Casa Amilie is a three bedroomed end of terrace villa about five minutes from the coastal path that leads to the upmarket Rubicon Marina. The accommodation consists, on the ground floor, of a roomy sitting/dining area and well appointed kitchen (including a dishwasher - which we did not need). On the ground floor there is also a double bedroom and an adjacent shower room with bidet. There is also a laundry room which has a washing machine. On the first floor there is a bedroom with two single beds (and a balcony that looks out to the mountains) and an en suite double bedroom with a bath and a balcony. From this balcony you can see the sea in the distance. A hairdryer was provided in this room.
Outside there is a table and sunbathing area with four sun beds and a small swimming pool ideal for cooling off if not for doing lengths! The pool is cleaned regularly by an English guy - he also does odd jobs around the villa. We phoned the house manager as we could not get the television working and he was around that day to sort it out. There are not many stations but we prefer to read anyway.
There is a good supermarket just across the road (lovely bread) and a small cafe. Otherwise eating places and bars are in the Marina about 15 minutes walk along the coastal path which is well lit and paved. Although we did not use them taxis are good value and there is a bus stop nearby. All in all a good choice and we hope to return.
