We have just come back from 10 days at the Mar Amantis 2. Just going off the hotel and food it would be a 3 out of 5 but the staff make it a 4. Number 2 was very dated compared to 1 and it was really for families. Room was clean and cleaned every day but the view was of a building site so we spent very little time there. Lots of pools but all could have done with a good clean. Lots of choice for food but very busy restaurant because had to cover both sites. Now the good things. The staff especially Sophie as my daughter loved her and always made her feel special. Bar staff around the pool were great but as with the bars inside they were very strict for serving times (nothing after 11pm - lights off). Overall we liked but only because of the staff. Everything else needs work for us to go back.

However, we are saddened by your disappointment regarding the facilities of the hotel and we would like to mention that both building receive the same maintenance works. The best thing I can say about this hotel is the view and location. We stayed in the Mar amantis 1 and the view from the pool is fantastic! The water taxi over to San Antonio Town is also right next to hotel which was perfect. There are also some lovely bars near the hotel which we Reay enjoyed. The hotel itself was a big let down. The food was awful and being all inclusive this was very disappointing. The drinks were in little plastic cups and even though they had a pile of large plastic cups at the bar the bar staff refused to let us have drinks in these. The staff at the bar were very unfriendly and rude,but the reception lady and the man who let's you into the restaurant were lovely and friendly. The rooms are very dated and not hi g like the pictures. But we fou d the beds quite comfy and weren't that bothered what the room looked like as didn't spend much time in there. Overall would definitely go back to San Antonio Bay but would not return to this hotel.

The Island is nice but I can not say the same for the employees of the hotel. Plenty of daily micro-aggressions/disrespect against people of color as is my personal experience at this hotel. They truly lack customer service and could tell it was fake. There could be stronger children entertainment - they tried. There could be more of a welcome package informing patrons of where they can go and how to get there. Only housekeeping department was super nice to us. Overall the people are not friendly.

Got to hotel wasn’t sure which one we were in , reception informed us hotel 2 with the riff raff. 3 of us in a room was a very small room and the 3rd bed was like a pull out thing. Balcony was ok . The air con worked when it wanted was either freezing in the room or boiling . Towels changed daily . You have a wrist band to show your in the hotel but too get food in the restaurant you have too carry a cardboard small credit card size card to get in restaurant and if you didn’t have it no way will they let you in and it would take ages to print another. Food was located in the hotel 1 . But snacks were served in the hotel 2 . Bars in both hotel . Staff were ok didn’t make any effort to engage . Come across a bit arrogant. Good selection of drinks, food was amazing there was always something new, and all fresh and really was delicious. Pools in both hotels you can use either , used pool in hotel 1 as good view of the bay not many sun beds but we just stayed on side of pool. Chilled music played through out day , hotel 2 pool was a bit More lively I was told . You can get a boat to San Antonio Oustside hotel €3 one way. Takes about 10 mins. And there’s other boat trips from there we payed €14 for a 2 hour boat trip which also included admission to an aquarium would highly recommend and free drinks and snacks. You can get a taxi at the taxi rank next to hotel 2 but you can wait a while. Pubs around hotel an Irish bar donnegans great atmosphere and good prices on drinks and there was the urban lounge great food and drinks . Can wall to San Antonio Plenty of bars on route and takes about 45-50 mins. I would come back to this hotel if I was placed in hotel 1.

We lament your disappointment with the room and the inconveniences founded with the air con, of which we have taken note. Great set up between the 2 hotels.. it covers both young families and youngsters out to party it does get the odd Idiot shouting out walking down the corridors early in the morning normally the brits... the guy that meets and greets you for breakfast dinner and evening meal is amazing what a smile what a guy one or two of the staff ciykd take a leaf out of his book but overall great place
