This hotel is very new and needs a little more attention to detail in places. Staff are all friendly only some speak English and mostly very basic however this appeared more of an Italian holiday destination.

The loud music all day people complain of starts at 3pm after the siesta time. There is music at the main outdoor bar in the evening which is fairly loud for those who are staying near the main buildings however a little further out you can hear nothing. The bar closes at 11.30pm. Music over by midnight as with all hotels.

Pools and rooms all clean but needs a good scrubbing of spilled grout in the bathroom.

There is plenty of sunlounger choice even with the hotel at capacity between the 2 pools and rocky beach. If you prefer sandy beaches there is a free bus to a long one you can walk a long 3km down the road or alternatively you can go to Monopoli town itself where there are some little coves.

If you wish to explore further you do need a car. There is no local evening options to go to in the evening within walking distance except the odd little restaurant.

Food at the hotel was different daily over the week we stayed. It did have a seafood bias but there were always several none seafood options. You are given a specific tabkein the restaurant so as the waiting staff get to know your drinks tastes it is ready for your arrival.

We were not advised of takeaway lunch option. We asked for takeaway breakfast on our last day but told this was not possible. The 2 bars are at most 100m apart so I don't embed the problem of having different things available at each. It saves a long queue.

If you are looking for a quiet destination where you are wanting mainly beach or pool time this is a good option. If you are wanting to be adventurous you will need a car to explore the area. The area is not lively at all so if you are looking to party this is not a destination for you. This hotel as with all had things it could do better with however it could also be far far worse! It has great potential if the right attention and management provided.

I can only agree with other recent British comments on this website with regards this hotel, and our main problem was with the noise /loud music which was played everyday by one of the pools. It could be heard wherever you were in the hotel and was totally uneccessary.
It was SO LOUD AND INTRUSIVE I couldn't even read my book! If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is not the place for you.
The food is OK but repetitive, lots of seafood which we liked but not for everyone. Desserts routinely ran out and were not replenished.Fresh fruit was often hard and inedible. They provide a packed lunch if you are going out for the day which was a nice touch.
Very frustrating you could only get a beer at the beach bar and if you wanted another type of drink you had to go up to the main bar where it was all local drinks with a sugary sparkling mixer.I got fed up of amaretti and coke!! Red and white wine are provided with lunch and dinner.
The wifi is patchy and halfway through our stay they changed the system with no warning.
Although new ,the mattress on the bed had no cover ,which may not be so hygenic when more guests have stayed. Hand towels are thin and absolutely useless for drying your hair but that may be the Italian way.Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day.
I would think seriously as to what type of holiday you are looking for before booking this hotel. It is newly refurbished and these may be teething problems . Hopefully they can sort them out! The position of the hotel is great, right on the sea but you need a car to explore the area further.
No spa onsite yet.

Room Tip: Away from the pools and restaurants are quieter.

Whether it’s the wake up theme song being played via loud speakers at 10am, and a further three more times during the day, to the dj playing music throughout the morning and afternoon swim times (so loud it can be heard under water, at the beach and inside your rooms), to the evening entertainment music coming from the open amphitheatre that starts at 9pm and goes through to well after midnight every night (again audible inside your room) to the loudness in the buffet cafeteria due to the minimalist decor, noisy best sums up our stay. There was also a business conference held here during our stay with a band, group dancing and then disco for the delegates around the pool keeping us awake past 1am.

This hotel is best booked if you are going to be getting involved in all the entertainment and not looking for a relaxing break, but to do so, you will need to speak Italian to join in and get the most out of your stay.

Also, the music played hasn’t been bleeped for swear words - Eminem’s Slim Shady - the explicit version was fun to listen to at 4pm! Not a problem for us (well over 18) but some with small children might find this awkward.

Food-wise it is nearly all seafood, squid, octopus, razor clams etc. and cured meats and soft cheeses. We went all inclusive and being pregnant found this meant the majority of the food at the buffet I couldn’t eat. This included on the first night when we arrived late due to a flight delay but called ahead to ask if a plate of food could be kept as the restaurant closes at 9:30pm. I specifically said I couldn’t eat seafood, cured meats or soft cheeses. They were nice enough to keep a plate but when we arrived discovered it was raw squid, mozzarella, Parma ham and couscous! None of the food on offer at the buffet is labelled so you are guessing what is in everything which led to me accidentally tucking into a very heavily alcohol-soaked cake before realising my mistake (not good for those avoiding alcohol or for children). The soft drinks included in the all inclusive package were all very sugary - no alternatives eg fruit juice or squash, just pop. Bottles of water are not included and have to be paid for, although once you have a bottle they will refill it for you for free.

Also there is very little shade anywhere on the resort, so if you are looking to sunbathe you will find plenty of sun loungers in full sun. If you are trying to limit your sun exposure, this will restrict you to inside your room as the small terrace area in front of your room isn’t shaded either.

The beach on site is rocky. Reef shoes can be bought at the small shop onsite but if you own some already, best to pack them so you don’t have to re-buy.

Note the spa, Turkish bath, and fitness centre advertised on the website and the glossy brochures at Reception at the resort doesn’t open until at least 2019. This isn’t made clear anywhere and only upon asking (no map of the resort was available to us) were we told that it didn’t exist yet. There are a couple of tennis courts and a small football pitch that are completed.

Finally the terrace restaurant also advertised on the website as an alternative to the cafeteria is not open all week so there is a chance (like has happened to us) that you won’t get to experience this.

We have visited this resort few days ago. We stayed in a suite. The rooms are beautiful. The animation was discreet and lovely. What could improve is WiFi and internet which is very slow as well as staff at the bar which was weak (mostly two persons), compared to the number of ppl waiting.

However all in all, the resort is beautiful and the staff very helpful and lovely.

We booked this only a few days before setting off and took a risk with no tripadvisor reviews at that point. Newly rebuilt and fresh, the rooms are modern with comfortable big beds, fresh shower rooms and fridges. However, it feels like the builders just left and nobody ensured plaster and paint mess was totally cleaned up. Indeed the tiled floors were really dusty and the terraces rather messy. Building rubble is still visible in the earth which lies between the runs of rooms. Oddly, no water was provided in the rooms but you could request a plastic beaker of some at the bars! Luckily a bottle is provided at lunch and dinner, alongside your chosen house wine. No proper handtowels are provided alongside the still fluffing new bath towels but some good quality "tea-towel" type ones were. These are no good for putting up thick wet hair post shower! 5 hangers were also considered adequate in the wardrobe for 2 people for what must be mostly 7 night stays. More were brought when we requested more.

The pools are attractive and manned with a life-guard who comes to put up your parasol on arrival with a smile. Loungers are comfortable and have the excellent addition of an adjustable head shade included.

Oddly the range of drinks included in the all-inclusive deal is spread over the lower and upper bars - beer (as well as ice-cream) not available at the upper one and the liqueurs not at the lower one. The ice-cream was not a patch on the wonderful ones available off site. The breakfast is rather poor in comparison to any we have had on our travels far and wide. White bread in slices and sometimes white rolls but no other bread selection, No fresh juice but dispensers of squash! Some pastries and cakes alongside the cheese, ham tinned fruit. A fruit bowl of whole fruit items like plums and apples but no fruit salad or sliced pieces. Lunches were cold salads from which I mostly found nice things to enjoy and some prepared pasta-sauce combinates which had to be served. Most of the time queueing did not happen and we got fed up with the bun-fight it seemed to be.The evening meals seemed even more frenzied and we were relieved to be able to swap to the upstairs restaurant option. This is open air and waiter-served. With some small variations, it was essentally the same meal in several courses. Excellent pizza and friend fish to start, pasta with mussels or similar followed then by fried meat or fish before a plate of rather attractive but bland pastries. Not surprisingly, this was always busy and the waiters working very hard to keep all the courses coming out. Their manager was friendly and eager that all enjoy the experience upstairs. It is not open on Wednesdays or Sundays though.

Our room was luckily on the far edge and looked out to waves crashing onto nearby rocky waterfront. However, on some evenings being able to enjoy this sound on our terrace was impossible with the piping of loud pop music a few centimetres from the end of the terrace - speakers on poles in the ground outside your terrace! This was kindly switched off when I called reception to request this.

In summary, we enjoyed our break but the absence of water in the fridge and food below our expectations of Italian tastes let things down.. Indeed, tomatoes, deep red, large and succulent were abundant off site but only a bowl of chopped ones, mainly green on offer. This hotel caters for young families and the restaurant was full of children and very loud babies. Perhaps the food was mostly aimed at them?

Room Tip: Some of the more expensive "igloo" type rooms are at back and look onto other rooms l
