We stayed in Novalja as a stop over from Zadar to Rab and rather than stay the one night we thought we would stay two.
The hotel resembles a 1970s office block and the interior doesn’t seem to have been updated since then.
The room had a number of issues: curtains which were half the size of the window, a towel rail that fell off the wall when I touched it, a very noisy air conditioning unit and the smell of cooking fish in the bathroom (the air vent must have been linked to the kitchen).
There was a shared ‘balcony’ around the central atrium which only contained 14 chairs for at least 35 rooms.
There were positives to the hotel: the bed was comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and friendly; there is a nice pool bar and seating area and the buffet style breakfast was good. The main positive is the location as Hotel Liberty is on the sea front in the centre of Novalja; this is reflected in the relatively high price. If you aren’t too concerned about location then there are better places to stay in Novalja for a lower cost. More
