This cottage is exactly as described: amazing views of Lake Huron, perfectly location between Lions Head and Tobermory, minutes to the Lindsay Tract Trails, and a fabulous opportunity to explore all the Bruce Peninsula has to offer.
We took in a number of hikes and sights along the Bruce Trail including The Grotto, Flowerpot Island, Halfmile Log Dump, Grieg's Caves, and others.
A note of warning, the septic system is delicate. Please heed the warnings and don't flush anything but toilet paper. Also, the kitchen furnishings (plates, cutlery, pots and pans, etc) are a bit outdated so if you plan to do a lot of cooking, be sure to bring your most needed tools (I couldn't find a spatula anywhere). That being said, all appliances worked fine and we managed without much issue.
There is an amazing breeze off the lake and it's perfect for flying one of the many kites in the basement. Or if you'd rather, challenge your cottage-mates to a rousing game of horseshoes. The fire pit was just perfect for our cookout and the breeze of the shore helped to stave off the bugs.
All-in-all, we had a great week in Bradley Harbour at Silver Side's Sanctuary and wouldn't hesitate to go back!
The cotage is advertised for up to 6 people but barely large enough for two. The sea front is bedrock and this side of the penensula is always windy. Otherwise sunsets are beautiful and the location is good.
