A lovely place for a refreshment after the hike to the summit. Good coffees and teas, good range of soft drinks and home-made cakes.

Had a hot chocolate…… more lukewarm warm. The marshmallows didn’t melt. But the views make the drive up worth the drive. $8 at bottom of hill to get access per car but very worthwhile
Great views in all directions. Definitely the cafe worth the views alone. The road to the cafe should be taken with care in both directions.
We hadn’t had breakfast so decided to head up to Astro Cafe for a lovely breakfast with a view. Well that was a mistake. We lined up in our car for about 30 mins as they were only allowing one car in when one car left. Paid our $8 entry fee and drove up to the top of the mountain. The cafe was crazy busy and we waited 20 mins for our coffees to be ready. We also arrived to find there is no menu, just order from the cabinet. Looking in the cabinet, everything is so expensive so we only ordered one ham and cheese croissant for $16 and they offered to warm it up. I asked for it to be toasted to be told there is no toaster! It tasted terrible to eat heated in the microwave but we were starving. The coffees were good but were also expensive. We paid $30 for 2 coffees and a croissant.
The food it terrible. We ordered a Salmon and onion bagel $22. 2x ham and cheese croissant. $16
Asked if we wanted them heated. Yes.
They put them in the microwave which made the bagel rubbery and the croissant soggy.
The bagel had no onion just a tiny piece of salmon on one side that was showing. The rest of it was empty with nothing in it no cream cheese or anything to give it some moisture.
She then forgot the kid’s croissant was in the microwave and so the time I went. Ack up and asked it was cold.
Overall terrible food. And overpriced.
Take a picnic and save yourself the trouble
